The name Muhammad was originally a title meaning "the praised one" in Arabic, being a passive participle from the root ḥmd حمد "to praise". Within Islam, Muhammad is known as "The Prophet" and "The Messenger". The Qur'an (33:40) also refers to him as the "Seal of the Prophets" (Arabic: ḫatamu-n-nabiyyīn). In verse 61:6 he is referred to as Ahmad, which in Arabic means 'more praiseworthy'.
(S.A.W)= Salallahu Alaihi Wassalaam
we gave him the greatest title of man because he has brought us the Last Testament of God which is The Qur'an. and with his struggle as a prophet he has brought us to the true Islam.

Asslam alaikum!
if u r a Muslim then i think u must have listened abt that once harzat Jibrael came to Hazrat Muhammat PBUH and said that Allah and all the angels will curse the person who will not be obedient towards his parents
2ndly Allah and all the angels will also curse the person who will not send Darood that is [S.W.A]
it is the reason that we say S.A.W on speaking listening Hazrat Muhammad S.W.A

Because Muslims are required to say the "shalawat" to Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. every time we say his name. For other prophets such as Noah, Abraham and Moses, we say "Alaihis Salam" which in English means "peace be upon him" (in abbreviated form, a.s.). For Prophet Muhammad's "sahabah", we say "radhiallahu anh" (in abbreviated form, r.a.). All these are meant to show respect to the person's name.

The Prophet Mohammad is a most respectful prophet for all mustlim of the world. If you understand and read the history of islam you should not have asked this question which is quite stupid question.
