Human is the only species that can ask this kind of question. Pigs and dogs would not care about it; while bacteria don't even stand a chance to think.
Therefore the meaning of human life, in my opinion, is to think hard and try to find an answer for it.

The meaning of life is to search LIFE'S MEANING. The religious books/saints can at the most give some indicative interpretations but the aspirant has to travell himself on this journey of tracing out meaning. It is complex subject and cannot be given out in couple of sentences. The journey's first step is utmost desire to know it. Well begginning is done. Congratulations. Yes to earn and expend -to develop relationships - tobe busy in worldly affairs is not real meaning. God has made you in his own image with higher aims. Meditate and pray sincerely. HE will enlighten you. No shortcut, if you are sincere.

Life may refer to the ongoing process of which living things are a part; the period between the birth (or a point at which the entity can be considered to be living) and death of an organism; the condition of an entity that has been born (or reached the point in its existence at which it can be established to be alive) and has yet to die; and that which makes a living thing alive.

WOW, after spending some 50 yrs in the Himalayas, all I came to know was that - Life is beautifull and I lost 50 yrs of it searching for it's meaning.
Moral : Live it, don't go around looking for the meaning.

you will understand the meaning of life only when you get the ultimate, everlasting, ever changing pleasure or peace of mind. this can be achieved by probing into yourself. by probing who am i? if you deeply meditate on this you will reach the origin of thoughts, mind. you will realize that you are not the physical body, mind or intellect, but you are that divine spirit, the pure awareness who is the witness of these body, mind and intellect and who is not changing in any situations. this is called self realization or god realization. there is several ways and means for this like yoga, meditation etc. after getting this real meaning of life you will not go behind temporary pleasures of this world. you will be the happiest, satisfied man on this earth.

This is what I can explain to you, Life means:-
L - LOVE:- The first love that God showed us by giving his only begotten son to die for us. So we should also have a heart of Love.
I - ISOLATION:- If we lack love then we sin and we are Isolated from the first love of Christ or rather Christ and there after we perish.
F - FORGIVENESS:- After Isolation one has to seek forgiveness so as to get back the first love of Christ.
E - ETERNAL :- After seeking forgiveness and you gain the first love then you will have eternal life.
When you do all this then you have life. But without Love and Forgiveness then you dnt have life.

Life, in strict sense, means to exist and be able to reproduce itself. So there are the human life, the animal life, the plants life and others. In lacto sense, life is the Universal manifestation... everything is part of life.

I asked this question and not many people could answer it.
The meaning to life is to know God, to worship Him, to give Him hounour he is due. To love the Lord Jesus and ask him to forgive you of your sins, and to come into your heart.
Their is no other reason to life this is the answer. FULL STOP!!
