The so-called Jihadi groups, some of them even will kill other fellow Muslims if they think they have to. The problem with some Muslims is that they mixed up the teaching of Islam with their culture. They interpret Islamic teaching from the eyes of their own culture. This is where Islamic true teaching get distorted i.e. by the misinterpretation of the teaching through different cultural background.
For example, Jihad means more than just "holy war". When a Muslim do charity, he is also considered doing Jihad. However certain Muslims living in certain countries may interpret Jihad as killing non-Muslims (which is not the correct interpretation).

Peace be upon you, I agree there are 5 prayers an afternoon. besides the easy incontrovertible actuality that, some persons, depending on the interpretations, believe there are truly 3 prayers purely with the help of actuality the Quran mentions truly 3 prayers with the help of using call; Salatul Fajir (24:fifty 8), Salatul Wusta (2:238), and Salatul Isha' (24:fifty 8). yet truly like the record you said above, all 5 prayers are said both with the help of using call or description. Peace Joseph S

I can't find any religion that advocates hatred and violence. In my opinion, those who commit such acts must have either misinterpreted their religion or might have not even read the book.

"There shall be no compulsion in religion" means I can't go to a Hindu and say "hey dude, you pray to these statues, how about I say they are my god also and you say Allah is your God also" or go to a Christian and say "So, Jesus died for our sins? How about I also say he did and then you say There is only one true God and Jesus is his son, not God himself?"
Like how the early Church changed its day or the prayer from Saturday to Sunday because the Romans that time used to worship sun as god and had Sunday as the day to worship sun so the ruler of that time (I can't remember his name) asked then to let them pray to their (Christians's) God if they can change their day of worship to Sunday, which they did.
This is called "compulsion".
