I know I am one. I can stay up for 3 days straight without sleeping. Then I fall asleep during weird times. Like in the afternoons. I don't sleep at all during the night. The thing to having insomnia is to see how long have you not been able to sleep. Like if this has been going on for weeks, months, or years. That's how you can determine. Mine has been going on since I was in elementary and I still have it now and that's why I am up now. But if this has been going on for a while, you might have insomnia. There really isn't a cure for it but what might help is reading, or eating a light snack, listening to soft music to help relax the mind. Below I researched insomnia for you and this might be some helpful info to get you started.

Well in my case I was diagnosed a severe manic depressant which contributed to insomnia and addiction. I finally asked for help and was prescribed Zoloft and Trazadone. The longest I ever stayed up without drugs or alcohol was 12 days straight. If your anything like me take prescribed drugs but I am a pretty severe case.

Well if you're only getting two hours of sleep I'd say that's pretty much insomnia. Maybe try some sleeping pills and if they don't help you should go to your doctor and he may be able to help ya out.

You sleep at least 6 hours so no insomniac.

Get organized and sleep. You keep yourself busy when you don't sleep? Don't. Go to bed and what ever happens get up before 8. You will have a normal sleep in no time.
