I wouldn't have thought so...when did the US military last win a war on its own? They're useless without their allies - whom they appear to have misplaced somewhere along the way.
Oh sure, they can huff and they can puff and they can start wars with 3rd world countries, and they have the largest, most well-equipped armed forces in the world, but they lost to a bunch of pyjama wearing rice farmers in Vietnam and are losing to a disorganised bunch of 12 year old kids in Iraq.
Time for a reality check, Uncle Sam!
All N Korea needs is a little submarine and it'll be good night, John Boy...4 eva!
Ha ha ha ha ha!
Your stupid flags on your front lawns won't help you then. God Bless America - yeah, in your dreams.

N' Korea does'nt have the cabability to strike the USA, but they can go after Japan or south Korea. Either of these could have devestating affects on the global economy, which would affect the US. I'm sure we have numerous submarines (the best and most silent in the world) parked in the vicinity with anti-missle missles; plus a few nukes to go around.

Actually, the competency of the military has little to do with missile defense. The competency required is with our technology. As pointed out previously, North Korea is not currently able to target the United States with any missiles with any accuracy. Rather, they can target (aim) missiles, but as evidenced by their test last week, they still have some work to do before their technological competencies are sufficient to cause us major concern.
Our own missile defense program has only in recent years progressed to where it has any real hope of knocking missiles out of the sky, at least as evident from publicly released test results. For all I know, we might have land or space-based lasers already in position to fry any incoming missiles. National secrets are best kept secret until a critical need arises to deploy them, and even then, deniability gets factored in.
Essentially, you may rest assured, there shouldn't be any need for concern of North Korean missiles raining down on U.S. cities in the immediate future.

NO.. But not like 9/11 we can stop a missile strike that comes from a country we are watching. So let's say Canada send a missile at us we will be hit. We are there friends at this time so we are not watching them. Anyway why I said no is that from North Korea to hit the USA will not happen. Maybe Alaska

The US military can annihilate the North Korean missile strike immediately because it is readily detected. It was a different scenario on 9/11 because the weapons used were planes. The only mistake they committed was considering the planes as hijacked not knowing that these were used to crash on buildings.

NK isn't competent enough to strike the US.
Our military could wipe out their missile sites with non nuclear / conventional weapons if necessary.

N. K. missle is very far away from being a direct threat to the US.

Competent? yes! Miracle workers? No. I have seen allot of flipping nonsense here about shooting those missiles out of the sky. Don't get too bent when it doesn't happen.

The U.S. military is not an all seeing eye. If they was, oh what an uproar. They are good at what they do but not God. Brace yourself, all you see I understand is the flash.
