1) Self pity is when you centre on yourself, your feelings and your moods only and all to the oh, I'm so abused theme.
2) People often rationalize when they are in the midst of this emotion. It's very hard to see past yourself during a bout of self pity. Are your thoughts constantly on how you are being wronged? Do you always begin with *I*?
3). A certain amount of self pity is fine. It's when it becomes the focus of your every waking day that it becomes a problem. So yes, it can be bad for a person to indulge in this type of behaviour.
4). Try reading a book, preferably a happy one or a good movie. Maybe volunteer to help at a soup kitchen or a nursing home. Anything that will take you out of yourself and help you to focus on others for a time.

Poor cat!
1) Self pity is feeling victimised in every situation. You are always hard done by. Your outlook on life is doom and gloom.
2) You are always miserable sometimes with morbid thoughts, always fault-finding and looking for the worse in all situations.
3) Very very bad. Basically self pity is a sign of a reactionary or clinical depression.
4) Your GP should be your first port of call. You may need counselling and anti-depressants.

Self pity is a product or an outcome of an event over a person that either fail to plan or planned to fail.
It is informed by tone of regret. Oh pity! Had i done it this way! How do i gert to this state etc
It is not really bad especially when the intent is to cross check and thereby make amend. It is very bad if it reoccors times over. We should allhave it once in a lifetime- because we are all fallible and only God is infallible. You fall and walk and walk and fall simultaneously.
What you should do is to always plan not to fail. take precautions and mostly on God. Be determined not to regret all outcome, but always plan your doings.
And at anytime that you fall short, rather than regret and get bugged down, muster will and more energy to move on and let that failing be a record to make the next attempt perfect.

self pity means that u fell sorry for your self, its best to have eself pity in moderation, like salt on your food because if you are feeling sorry for your self then you are not doing anything about the situation that you are in. self pity is a negative way of thinking and too much can lead to depression as it can change the way you think. ever heard of the expression dont pull a face or the wind will change? the same applies to self pity, if you keep doing it eventually you will stay thinking like that . if you want to get over it do the opposite instead of thinking "these bad things are happening to me" start thinking "how can i stop these bad things happening to me" if you are feeling low i find that whacking some3 tunes on in the bath in the morning and havin a sing along makes me feel better for the rest of the day, staying constructive is the key to positive, happy thinking though and it is important to remember this, hope that this helps!

Its usually when u think u r not getting attention from others.
its not good 'cause after a while it becomes a habit and affects ur other relationships and u begin to expect too much of others.
what to do?
Join a christian fellowship,
start reading the Bible. Tell God what u really miss, u can at least be sincere with him. He wont criticize or judge u, He already knows what u r going through, He just wants u to come clean by telling Him.
start caring and helping others, because what u are in the habit of giving out, u'll be in the habit of receiving.( what u sow is what u reap many folds.
Start now

When we perhaps dwell on things that have got to us for a bit too long-this can be interrupted in so many ways.
You have the down right misery ,whiney person who just whinges
or maybe a person who is really struggling and maybe a bit depressed.
I think personally i can tell from the the type of character,if there being pro active to pull themselves up,or if they just are struggling,or classic whingers!
I don think its bad for any one to have a period of time to have self pity,we all need support, tlc, down time, picking off the floor
but i woulndt imagine it would be helpfull to anyone in the long run.
If it was me i would seek help from a counsellor, speaking from experience ,i cant thank or rather continue to thank mine enough, its always painfull digging to to the route of a problem but when you start experiencing change -and it can be slow, its a good feeling! good luck keep me posted !

Self pity is when you feel sorry for yourself.
You will find yourself thinking along the lines of "oh why me".
I don't think it is all bad. You are entitlied to feel sorry for yourself a bit if something bad has happend to you. It's only normal to feel bad for yourself.
It's good to talk to someone about how you feel because that can often put things into a better perspective for you.
