I don't know how said that, but you have to live your life the way God says to and not just believe.
No one can stand in front of you or anyone else and say if one is going to go to heaven or not.
That's God's job and not ours.

It is not just believing in some beliefs that will save you. Christians believe that you must accept Jesus as your Savior. You gave some examples of Gandhi and Rumi. Both are great people. However if we can get into heaven just because we do some good deeds, then Jesus came down to Earth for nothing. Also if good deeds allows us to enter into heaven, then how do we know if we did enough good deeds? How do you weigh which good deed is worth more?

As for who is burning right now, it is really not for any of us to judge. Who knows if any of the above mentioned people ended up giving their life over to God moments before death. God is the only one to determines who gets into heaven or not. We should be trying to guess who did and who did not. I am sure if we saw who is in heaven right now, we would be surprised who got in and who did not.

I have nothing against other religions but it is the Bible that we believe in ( and probably for you the Koran ). So whatever I say now will be based on what I believe in that is..JESUS is the way, the truth and the life..No one comes to the father excepts through Him.Accepting Jesus as our only savior will save us from hell. That should have answered your question regarding rumi, gandy and hitler.God bless!

Dear Asfshi, I am happy that you care a lot about your religion. But always remember, Islam prohibits us from speaking with any authentic source/reference. So whenever you make a point or ask questions, you must have a reference backing your point.

You can refer to verse number 33 of chapter 7. Here Allah besides forbiding other sins, forbids to speak without a solid reference point.
قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالإِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَأَن تُشْرِكُواْ بِاللّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَأَن تَقُولُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ {33}

"[Yusufali 7:33] Say: the things that my Lord hath indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which He hath given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which ye have no knowledge."

So if you don't have right knowledge, backed by reference from Quran, you should avoid making such quetions.

Moreover, our duty as a Muslim is to spread right knowledge of Islam, it is not just making the question that irritate others, by this they would never come close to Islam. They would go fartherer and fartherer.

You can send me your questions about Islam, I would try to tell you the answers in light of Quran and Hadith. Moreover, try to read Quran with understanding.

It is more than just common "beliefs" that will decide your eternal fate. Christians have a relationship with Jesus Christ, but ultimately it is what is in your heart that God is going to examine. The Scriptures say that the laws of God are written on ALL our hearts. It is not based upon your deeds or lack of them that gets you into Heaven.
Hell is a place where God is not, therefore there is nothing "good", pleasant, worthy, noble etc. in that place..it is a place where there is ultimately NO Love. A place of weeping & knashing of teeth. To know that you had the choice of going to heaven but made your own decision NOT to seek the truth while it may yet be found. There are degress of punishments in hell, just as there are degrees of rewards in Heaven. All we have is this time here on Earth that God has graciously given us, that we may determine where we want to be ...forever.

Being sincere as the ones you mentioned were is not a guarantee of anything.
A man with a broken compass can be sincere in his belief of which direction he is going. He can be sincerely wrong about it too.
Have you ever flown in a plane? You should be glad there is one way to get you to your destination. The air traffic controllers keep track of where you are and keep other planes away from yours.
An air traffic controller that tells you to go where you wish and to do what you think is right is a menace to you and the others in the sky. Technically the term for such a one is "down the drain".

See, this is where people get it wrong. People think it's the 'good' deeds that will take you to heaven, and the 'bad' deeds that'll take you to hell.

But God is holy (without any fault) and so much greater than we are, that for him every 'bad' thing is equally bad. God can not tolerate any sin in his presence. That's why the only way to get to heaven is by believing Jesus Christ has died for your sins and that through him God sees us as blameless.

There are many 'good' peple who we think should get to heaven, but we really cannot know what is going on in their minds, and how evil their thoughts are, can we? But God sees everyone's heart, and he will judge according to what's really in there.

If God sees in one's heart the faith in his Son, then that person will be spending their eternity in heaven. It's not about being good or bad, it's about God's love and mercy towards us humanbeings.

I hope this answered your question. It's all in the Bible, you know. If you want to know more, I suggest you get a copy of THE MESSAGE, which will explain all this to you in a very understandable way. God bless you!

Good deeds do NOT save you. There are good people in hell. I know that it sounds harsh, but "unless you blelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ" you will NOT be saved. There are many "sincere" people in hell, it is not how hard you believe, or how good you are, it is nothing but the blood of Jesus that can rescue you from the pain and suffering of hell. If you do not humble yourself and seek God's face then you will go to hell when you die, because your rightousness' are as filthy rags in the eyes of God. Yes, Gandy, Rumi, and Hitler, will be burning in Hell together. If you donot believe me, read the words of God in the gosples of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Also see Romans.

Pre-Concilium - Vatican II, The Roman-Catholic Christian Philosophy taught that only Christians can go to heaven. This fundamentalistic idea changed since 1950. Now the Roman-Catholic church believes that anyone who lives a good life, does not have a guilty conscience can go to heaven, be it Islam, Buddhist, Hinduism or any other religion.

You asked that this question be answered with logic;I pray that this answer will help you to understand what we, as Christians, base our whole belief system on (concerning who goes to heaven and who goes to hell). Simply put: whoever calls on and believes in the name of JESUS shall be saved (from hell fire). If these men, whom you have named in your question believed in, and accepted JESUS CHRIST as their LORD and SAVIOUR at the time of their deaths, then yes, indeed, they are now in heaven. But it is a HORRIBLE thing to believe that you can accept the Father (God) and deny His Only Son (Jesus Christ)! No man come come to the Father except he go through His Only Son Jesus Christ. Getting to heaven is not based on the good works that a person does, it is based on believing, receiving, and accepting the good works that Jesus did on the cross more than 2,000 years ago by dying for our sins! If you believe this, then, my friend you are more than on your way to heaven!! If not, it is sad to say, but you are on your way to a burning hell. God Bless You!

Dear,
Good people of every religion or even good people of no religion will be saved. On the other hand, evil people, even if they belong to some good religion, will not be saved.
It is not important in which religion you believe as long as you are a good person and do good deeds.
