I believe you're supposed to drink eight 8 oz. glasses a day, so 8x8+=64.

You're pretty close.

Recommended is at least 8 x 8 oz... so 64 oz. I consume that in water plus a few cups of coffee.
Depends on whether you exercise, live in a hot climate, your overall health, etc.
Quick check is to look at your urine. It's supposed to be clear or faintly yellow.

8 to 10 glasses of water a day is good. Or base it on your weight. People 160 lbs are to drink a gallon a day.

If you don't like plain water, drink tea or flavored water. And remember, you can get water in food too. So you're sure to get enough. It's good for your skin.

When in doubt, see a nutritionist. And don't wait til you're thirsty. If you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated.

That is acceptable. Most experts will say 64 oz is ideal.

"The latest dietary reference intake report by the US National Research Council recommended 2.7 liters of water total (including food sources) for women and 3.7 liters for men."

Looks a bit low.
