I don't think drinking is a sin. However, if it becomes excessive drinking and if it causes you to do harmful things or lead you away from goodness, then it can be sinful. There just has to be care and moderation when it comes to drinking.

Absolutely not! Jesus drank wine. It is the "overindulgence" of alcohol which "leads" to sin. the bible tells one to avoid strong drink,{ which also carries connotations concerning other drugs.} And not to get drunk. (very wise advice, which I, as well as many Bible scholars struggle with.) It doesn't take much. Hence the name DISTILLED SPIRITS? There are some literalists that mis-interpret scripture who will try and tell you that Jesus drank grape juice, but they haven't done their homework. Not only is the term for wine in the Greek cannon used to describe an positively fermented drink, the technology to ferment non-alcoholic beverages is quite complex, and recent in origin, it never existed in his time. Not even close! They usually have a hidden agenda to try and get others to conform to an ideal of abstinence which keeps one from partaking in the true ceremony of communion, which calls for the consumption of alcoholic wine. Some Biblical study will reveal exactly why that is critical!

drinking is not a sin .... but drinking too much is a sin ....

when you dont drink you just make sure you dont drink .. but if you start drinking safely ... make it a point to not get a habit of it of too much drinking .... but if not able to stop yourself from just drinking it would be real problem for you to limit on the consumption amount ...

say when you are sad if you don't drink you dont drink but if you drink a little it is quite possible for you to drink more and no matter how much we think we can not stop ourself ... in the end we end up drunk... if can then stop now, its just a drink ... . there are more thing we can do then actually to keep thinking to drink or not drink ...

if you drink, you also promote others to drinking and others might not be able to control themselves (and beat their woman ... kids ... and they do ... or drive kill some one) ... if not drinking of huge amt of ppl saves even one life, directly or in directly, its worth it ... there are a lot of other things too but this is also one of them.... over all if not much to heart, don't drink! otherwise ... drinking is not a sin as such....

by the way eating to much cheese is also bad ... ....Hmmmm...cheeeeeseee....hmmm....cheeesee...cheesee..hmm

Dear,
It is not sin to drink one beer with your friends or to drink one glass or wine after lunch. it is not good for your health to drink too much. If you drink too much you will have problems with your health and noone will like you.
it is good to drink a little when you are nervous and when you want to calm down. The best choice is to know when to stop.

Eph 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

2Ti 4:5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
