Think for your self. If you don't like alcohol then don't drink it! Who are they to tell you to do something you don't like? If you have tried different types of alchohol and you just don't like it, then don't give in to peer pressure.
In Europe they don't make such a fuss about keeping minors from drinking. They give their little ones small tastes at the table and progressively more as they grow up. That way when they are teen agers having alcohol is no big deal. They feel no need to binge and drink to excess.
Alcohol gives a high. It can put people in a better mood and help them to forget their worries. In a way you are kind of lucky if you just don't like it. Some people are automatic alcoholics. It is a real curse for them. One word of caution though. Just because you are immune to the cravings of alcohol - don't think that that will make you immune to other drugs. I have always been able to drink responsibly. In my teens I thought that if I was not going to be an alcoholic, that I could try smoking and not be addicted either. Wrong! It took me ten years to finally kick smoking - haven't had one in over 4 years now. But I did a pack a day for a while!
Anyway, I would be the last to reccomend that some one not of legal age try alcohol. But when you are of age I would just suggest trying several types - if you feel like it. Alcohol is an acquired taste. You might not have found what you like. There are always wine tasting events going on. Vinters and merchants let you try several different types of wine for free in hopes that you will buy them. Their are whites, reds, sweet wines, bitter wines, fruity wines. Even one type of wine - like say a shiraz - comes in so many different tastes. It all depends on what you like. Their is no obligation to buy. Also, if you go to a bar, choose one that has beer on tap. Most bartenders are willing to pour you a sample of a beer in a shot glass. Try light beers, dark beers, foreign, domestic. And you could try some of the hard stuff too. No need to binge out.

A lot of it is peer pressure. People drink to fit in. I've been in situations where I wasn't drinking and I felt a sense of being "left out" becasue everyone else was drinking around me even though it was my choice not to drink. Some people drink because they open up more and are able to talk to people more....it takes away their shyness. Being drunk serves no purpose. A lot of people just go along with the crowd. If you don't want to drink, then don't. I say...good for you! Don't give in to peer pressure. I've always heard that with beer, it's an aquired taste....so you have to drink something that tastes nasty until you like it?? That's crazy!

there are different drunk types there is the happy clumsy ones, there the crazy ones, there the stupid ones , the mean ones, and off course the annoying ones, and the helpless ones. hen people look at you funny because you wont drink its because they want you to party with them. I think that the alcohol has something in it that makes them want more or if they get one they don't want to waste it and alcohol is probably the only drink so they get thirsty and the same process is going over and over again. And if they make you drink and you don't want to, then tell them to go away
i mean just tell them, most of them probably wont care because they are so drunk they cant even say the alphabet. Trust me my sister did this to me once.

If you can't handle liquor you'll get get more looks from eradic
behaviour.
In short don't worry about what others think. Do what's best for you. Stay away from it if you can't handle it or like it.
If you ever get hooked on it it is you that has to suffer.
Nobody will care and some will make fun of you.

If you don't like it,that's your decision and no one else's.
People who pressure you to drink feel uncertain about their own drinking and want the reassurance that comes from "everyone else is doing it".
I myself get a warm little feeling in my tummy and feel relaxed when I drink-but then, I also like the taste.
Be true to yourself and you can't go wrong.

Good on you. If you don't want to drink don't. You are past the age of giving into pere group pressure. You don't have to like it. Just tell people you arn't in the mood tonight or that you are driving, if they push you tell them to P>I>S>S off you will drink what you want
