Hi,
i was using windows media player 9 to play video embedded in webpages and it worked fine. i then decided to upgrade to version 10. unfortunately, version 10 didn't seem to work, i could hear the audio but the video was frozen. i tried to do the rollback uninstall to version 9 but it gave me errors, so i manually tried to delete the windows media player files from my "program files" directory. after i did this, there was no more option to uninstall WMP in add/remove programs so i can't uninstall WMP anymore. i reinstalled WMP10 but there is still no way for me to uninstall it.

does anyone know of a way to uninstall WMP10? thanks

Well.. Start -> Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs -> On the left hand side, around the vertical middle of the window you'll see a tab called 'Add/Remove Windows components' Click on the tab-> under entertainment look for WMP -> uuncheck -> apply, okay and restart and you are done.

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > on the left pane, you'll see "add/remove windows components" click on it, then on the list, uncheck WMP & then click next... . You may need the windows installation CD; you can repeat the same phases after uninstalling in order to install the older version.

if your recycle bin is anti-virus protected open it by double clicking and restore all the files that have been uninstalled and uninstall them then reinstall them.
