And I know she's my type, plus she's cute and funny. But I'm not sure if she is single or not.

What should I ask her to find this out? And If she is single, then what should I say?

Tell her your plans for the weekend. Then, ask her what her and her boyfriend have planned for the weekend. If she doesn't have one she will admit it right away. If she says, "What makes you think I have a boyfriend?" or "How did you know I had a boyfriend?", say, a beautiful girl such as yourself can't possibly be single. So. either she will be flattered and tell you her plans for the weekend, or she will be flattered, and you will have just started a conversation that may lead to joint plans for the weekend.

I agree with the first answer: ask subtly and see how she replies. Don't push her. If she doesn't really say anything, you could 'tease' her about how cute she is and how she couldn't possibly NOT have a boyfriend. Check out her reaction. By then you would know if she were single or not and maybe if she liked you or not. Good luck.

Invite her along with some of you workmates to lunch or do something that involves bringing along a date.

Don't push. If she is interested and if she is availble she will let you know. If does not show interest at least you saved yourself from big time embarassment !!

you should bring it up very subtly. something like 'this is a good movie to see with your boyfriend...'... this would be a good time for her to mention if she doesn't have one. if she just says 'yeah', she's got one. if she says nothing try something else. like, 'my ex used to... did you boyfriend ever do that to you?'
