the only person you have is yourself. All the religion stuff is just to give support to people. To have people have something to live for. Live for yourself and your loved ones. Jesus was Jewish and probably didn't intend to start a whole other religion that would cause so much chaos in the world. Maybe that is why you don't feel it. To accept some random dude is not much.

If you are a crack-addicted street whore, the change is quite apparent.
If you are an average person living in a christian home, you may not notice much change at all, even to the point that you cannot recognized that anything has changed.
There is also the age thing. You said you were young. You may not have had enough time to truely experience a depraved life, or cannot remember it.
In a way this is a good thing, you did not experience the harships others have, but in another way it is a bad thing, you do not have the experience to sompare your life to.
Of course there is always the possibility that you didn't mean it when you dedicated your life to Christ, but I will go with the assumption that you did and stick with one of my original assumptions.
Either way, It is a good idea to talk to your pastor or a christian family member about this and see if they have noticed any changes or areas you specifically should focus on. Even if you are a Christian, we are all still sinners and there is always room for improvement, no matter how small or gradual it is.

Evaluate your experience as a child. Remember, however, that just because you don't feel a certain way, doesn't mean that Jesus didn't do what you asked Him to do. Also, remember that you circumstances may not have dramatically changed. You are still going to be confronted with situations which will frustrate you. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior means that you recognize that you are NOT a good person, and that you need His help, and you need for Him to do in your life that which only He can do. I will pray for you.

that's why the Catholic Church baptizes everybody such as toddlers. Baptism is what saves us (a million Pt 3:21) because baptism confers actual grace. it isn't purely an outward signal. someone who has not the psychological means to appreciate should be kept by ability of baptism. The stain of unique sin is bumped off by ability of baptism. Your brother ought to not also be culpable for what he does because he has not the know-how to carry close what he's doing. yet, if he's baptized, unique sin is forgiven and he has saving grace operating in his life. do not worry about that accepting Jesus as your man or woman Lord and Savior element with your brother. that's an awesome element to do and everybody ought to do it. everybody ought to make a own dedication to Christ. yet that practice of praying a prayer to settle for Jesus as your man or woman Lord and Savior and then you're kept is genuinely not in the bible and it did not start up to be practiced till the 18th century or so (Puritans). traditionally, Christians have continually believed that baptism is the starting up of the Christian life because that's what the bible teaches (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, a million Pt 3:21, John 3:5). BTW, I genuinely have a sister who's mentally handicapped, regardless of the very incontrovertible actuality that perchance not as significantly as your brother. She likes God and has lengthy gone to some bible study and prayer conferences. She says that she likes going to them. not everybody is conscious her yet that's ok. She is a suited individual and has a heart of gold. She loves everybody with the midsection of an adolescent.

You simply need to remember that the devil will always try to get you harder when you accept Jesus. Just remember to live your life and help others. Think about how good your life is even when it seems rough. I'll pray for you.

The only way to know if you are a Christian is by your fruit. There are a number of fruits in Scripture: the fruit of praise, the fruit of thanksgiving, the fruit of holiness, the fruit of repentance, the fruit of righteousness, and the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
Make sure you are saved. There is nothing more important than your eternal salvation. click the 1st link below

It means you don't need a revelation to show you that God loves you. You accept that belief into your life and its already normal. For those who accepted him later in life, its exciting b/c its new, Its a revelation to them! You were brought up that way so you appreciate him but don't need to "feel" the way new Christians do. I hope that made sense.

Just because nothing happen doesn't mean He isn't there for you. Its nothing you did wrong. But accepting Him is just the start you need to establish a relationship with Him as well.
