Hello. American here. All of them refer to those individuals who aren't terribly attractive to the loudly popular people in society.Most of them come from a high school viewpoint. If you wish a further breakdown; 1 Nerd= bookwormish socially backward,though intelligent. Outcast from 'popular' people.
.2.Dork= dosen't really have to belong in these 3 types you describe. I think my president is a dork, so is that soccer player who head butted the other. Dork is just a non-specific insult, refers to someone idiotic in behavior.
3 Poindexter= a very specific kind of nerd. Also called a spaz. They are very oddball in behavior (seem mentally disabled), dress and speech, when compared to your standard nerd.

I think a "poin-dexster" believes he is cool, when he's obviously not. A dork is the next step up, completely uncool and aware of it, but not necessarily smart either. A nerd studies everything and reads everything he can find. He's undeniably smart, but has no social skills and cannot implement the things he understands in theory. And you forgot geeks. A geek is one step up from a nerd--someone super smart who puts it to good use. He can run over a computer with a steam roller, put it back together, and have it running better than it was to begin with.

well a nerd is someone that is smart, a dork is a whales penis and "poin-dexster" is a sharp dressed man.

They all belong to the class known as "geeks". A nerd and a pointdexter are basically the same although "pointdexter" is rarely used today.
