I live in Busan South Korea presently, I love it here I teach English, have a nice apartment at Haeundai beach. reaper is an imbiscile, dog is very difficult to find, and usually only koreans know where to find it, if you you want to try it it can be found, and also you don't have to "watch' your wallet, there is virtually no crime here. The US military has given foreigners here a bad name as they don't respect the culture or people--they are just looking for prostitutes and getting wasted and getting in fights, a bunch of immature farm boys. I would stay clear of Itaewan, it's a scum pit. I have to admit the food here gets a little boring after a while as variety is limited.

I could sit on here for hours answering this question, but you can just buy my book when I get around to publishing it.
Good experiences:
Catching up with all my friends that I hadnt seen for a while.
Eating Korean food till it comes out my ears.
Being closer to other countries, and having access to cheap travel.
Making new friends since being here.
Norae Bang and Soju nights.
Byul! (But not mixed with beer and playing drinking games)
Traveling around Korea.
Being homeless.
Bad experiences:
Losing friends.
Being robbed by a grandmother.
Slipping over in someone elses vomit in a Norae Bang.
Not having enough money to buy everything I want.
Not remembering what I do sometimes when I drink too much.
Advice:
Learn Korean.
Don't hang out in Itaewon.
Be yourself in your own time... be as Korean as possible at other times.
Try to remember your way home when you drink too much.
