I've heard a lot of people suggest this. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Does anyone who actually got a decent score think this?

Or I'm ready for my hate mail.

People think IQ tests are invalid because it is not able to test your ability of how well you get along with others or in politics.

I have a college degree in education and I think that the IQ tests should not hold as much weight as they do. In my personal opinion, I think that a creative person would have problems with only being able to choose one answere to solve a problem. A person who is able to think out side of the box and use resources will be able to solve a problem more that one way. Also some situations are better answered in an essay form. Of course this is not always true in a case like 2+2=4 there is only one answere which leeds to the contraversy. Thaks for your time----------------- Good question

well to be honest how can we as humans make a valid test for IQ. seeing how some who take the test will be smarter than the test maker. not to mention the test could have been made in a perceptive that could be unfair to people who do not function the same. and like all tests, some people could be a lot smarter than the test results show but get too nervous when taking tests.

Well, I took one and got a 148, so I guess I'll answer. (shrugs shoulders) I'm indifferent. Yes, it strokes my ego. Yes, I'm proud of it. However, just because someone scored poorly on their IQ test doesn't mean they're idiots, or inferior in any way. It just means they don't care for long-winded questions about bloogs, toogs and togs or complicated number patterns that don't have anything to do with well...anything. Whatever. It's just a measure of how quickly you can catch on to things; nothing more. I wouldn't put too much stock into it.

I tested 160 on mine in high school. The ones you find online are BS, and many of the lower-quality academic ones are said to be culturally biased or even racist.
