I may or may not be "Wiccan," depending on how you define it. I'm an iniate of Feri witchcraft, which looks a lot like Wicca from the outside. Some Feri witches call themselves Wiccan, and others don't. I go back & forth.
On Yahoo!Answers, I consider myself Wiccan enough to answer questions about it, since most of the questioners don't know about those distinctions.

After studying the world's religions in college, I have begun the daunting task of discovering the Celtic Pantheon religious belief system(s). I was raised ....drum roll....hold your breath.....a Pentecostal Christian!
By the standards of my harsh Pentecostal upbringing (the word harsh being an understatement of biblical proportions, pun intended!) , the Celtic Pagan view is considered an instant ticket to hell. However, it is the ONE religion that holds the most hope for the future, truth in its history, openminded in tolerance and acceptance of others world views (both religious and non-religious). Most important to me, it is the religious system of belief that makes the most sense. Sensible not only in the quest to find meaning for my own life, but also to discover how I can attain a higher level of positive growth and change in the world around me. It empowers me and holds me responsible for presenting and applying my best to any particular event or situation.
I first discovered that I needed to study more of this system of belief when I realized that most holidays, many common words used for everyday things such as the words used for the days of the week, etc, were actually, dare I say it, Pagan!
Knowledge is power, Pagan religious views and beliefs encourage us to gain knowledge through tolerance, common sense, being studious, working for the 'greater good', and protecting ourself from ignorance.
I am involved in the Celtic pantheon pedigogy system of learning.
Although I am new at this (5 years), I realize that my ancestry, as well as most others were of Pagan religious origin.

Not me. I am against ANY organized religion, I dont care if it's pagan or wiccan or what. It's STILL organized.
Be an individual. Make up your own religion, for your own beliefs.
