This is one of the reasons I'm an atheist. If God was good he would'nt allow these disaters to happen, they prove nothing.

There is no such thing as god (see how I didn't put a capital letter ;) ). This person who everyone calls god is non existant because where is the proof? The story goes that god put Adam and Eve onto this planet first... but there is no proof. However, there is proof that we evolved, and that there were dinosaurs, the little book of horrors doesn't say anything about dinosaurs.

I'm not trying to belittle religion, but there a bunch of sad old men who couldn't get a girl thats why they became priests and stuff and then decided that they wanted to make a cult.

Sorry, I'm more of a science girl than a religion girl myself...

AND I MUST ADD THIS ON... WE ALL KNOW THAT CHURCHS DON'T LIKE WOMEN. SADISTIC PEOPLE LIKE THIS WROTE THE BIBLE, AND WROTE THAT IT WAS THE WOMAN, EVE WHO ATE THE APPLE AND ADAM WAS A MAN SO HE DID NOTHING, HE WAS SO ANGELIC BECAUSE HE'S A MAN.

Grrrr, religion makes me angry :)

Furthermore.... god didn't write them bibles... Matthew, Luke and Timothy all wrote passages of their 'time' with the all mighty one. People are scared of dying, it's a scary thought. But there is no heaven. There isn't something in the sky or else we would see it.

Well, I"m not sure how much God had to do with the Tsunami, but there's far more evidence that global warming is far more to blame. That's most likely the cause.

When you start to rid the world of something necessary, like trees, for example, the consequences are bound to be bad.

I am astounded by so-called scientific atheists taking more energy to denounce God than address the real cause of the disaster, which has been, incidentally, created by humans.

Plate Tectonics has been part of the earths evolutions since before life, billions of years. This God business is a new theory only thought of in the last few thousand years by a species that had time on there hands to come up with some crazy ideas.

I don't think the dinosaurs gave it a thought when they were wiped out by a giant meteor

Think about this way if we were to have everything we asked and no worry's then what would be the point of living. We live just to die and then go to another place that is perfect ie. Heaven. Humanity had there chance to a perfect world with Adam and Eve if you believe that. We have to choose God for ourselves and accept the pain. We always focuse on the bad of the world were we forget about the person giving charity to a needie cause. God accepts everyone but it just matters if you accept him.

Tragedy is just one of many results of sin which was Adam and Eve's original response to God's blessings in the Garden of Eden. Jesus' sacrifice has allowed all of us to return to obedience and blessings from God. Death and destruction clearly indicate the results of choosing sinfulness. Choosing righteousness under God's Kingdom will bring absolute glory to God's name once and for always.

Usual excuses about a so called benevolent and forgiving and just God. How long do we have to pay for Adam and Eve's sins. Is this continual punishment the actions of a loving God?

By the way, monkeys and cats also kill purely for pleasure, among other animals.

I don't think this is God's will, but Satan's, as he is the ruler of this realm. But it brings glory to God's name when people help the survivors, and when victims overcome the tragedy by turning to God for their strength.

god does not allow this, god created the earth he is not due to protect us, disasters happen naturally, some scientists say disasters are in no way helped by the way in which humans live their lives and treat the earths. i mean all together people are melting the ice caps, when everything goes worng and people are dying due to global warmine everyone will look upto god, we created the mess, so we should eal with it. i hate to witness and hear about diasters but in no way are they gods fault or responsibility. god lives in glory after dying for all of us and creating us an earth to live on.

Well according to christians, God gave us a free will to either believe or not. That same free will allows us to be good to our fellow beings or not. It isn't God allowing all the suffering in the world, it is us humans! The only animal to kill for sheer pleasure.
