I've had honey butter a few times and really like. But it's expensive to buy and hard to find. Is it just honey whiped with butter? Or more complex? Thanks.

Honey Butter

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup honey

place butter into small bowl.
Gradually add honey while beating constantly until desired thickness is achieved.

3/4 cup honey
3/4 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Blend all ingredients together and store in the refrigerator.

Honey Apple Butter

This makes a delicious Apple Butter using no sugar but our favorite - Honey! Easy and makes the house smell really yummy!

3 (23 ounce) jars applesauce

2 cups honey
12 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix all ingredients in your crock pot. Cook on high for 1 hour and then on low for 11-12 hours till thick. Stir occassionally. Transfer to 4 pint jars and invert to seal. Apple butter should be hot enough to not have to can in a waterbath.
You may also cook the mixture on low on your stovetop for approximately 3-4 hours.

Almond Honey Butter

1/2 lb butter
1/4 cup liqueur, almond flavored
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon grated orange rind

Beat butter until smooth.
Gradually add liqueur and honey.
Stir in orange peel.

Orange Honey Butter

1/2 lb butter, soften
1 cup honey
4 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
1 orange, grated rind of

Add all ingredients to an electric mixer. Mixing very well.
Chill for 24 hours.

Pecan Honey Butter

1/4 cup honey
1 cup butter, softened (Use either butter or margarine)
1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Slowly beat the honey into the butter or margarine until well blended.
Stir in chopped pecans.
Pack in gift containers and refrigerate. Bring to room temperature before serving on biscuits, rolls, or other bread.
Makes approximately 2 cups.

Marie Callendars Honey (Bacon) Butter

A copy cat of Marie's Honey Butter. Yummy on biscuits or yeast rolls.

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup honey
6 slices bacon, crisp and crumbled

Put butter in a mixing bowl.
Mix w/ electric mixer (med/low speed).
Gradually add honey, then bacon.
Refrigerate (up to one week).

Honey Butter
1 pound butter
1/4 cups honey

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Hardware:
Dough scraper
Standing mixer
Parchment paper or plastic wrap

Cut the butter into chunks using the dough scraper.

Place butter into the mixer?s work bowl and beat at low speed, using the whisk attachment to loosen the butter. Increase the speed to medium and add the honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract and beat until well combined, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove butter from bowl and spoon onto parchment paper or plastic wrap. Roll into a log and refrigerate for 2 hours.

you make sure the butter is soft then add in the honey as you whip it with a blender or whisk. Taste as you go to know how sweet you want it to be. Some people or restaurants add Cinnamon or a pinch of salt to bring out the flavor. And that's it.

I think if you just add honey to some butter it will work. I've done it before to make strawberry butter.
