Lets just pretend that m1a1mikegolf is right. I am stupid and I dont know what I'm talking about. OH WAIT! I HAVE done research on the subject. The du artillery is heavy armor-piersing and does have adverse effects on health. m1a1mikegolf, why don't you check your sources, pull your head out of your ***, think, and then speak.

It's complicated, I don't disagree it is an issue, but the information in that video (which is discusting for propaganda purposes by the way) is highly misleading & in many cases wrong. I'm not an expert on Depleted Uranium, and so I couldn't make much of a case either way. Many Gulf I vets have issue with it, and I certainly would agree it needs study & to be addressed when we figure out the answers. Right now we don't know, but the info from that video is WAY overstating the case.

Simple propaganda.

It assumes the audience is stupid.

For example:
It assumes you are too stupid to look up the human health effects of DU. (Otherwise you would know that it does not cause birth defects.)

It assumes that you are too stupid to so simple math. (Such as divide the amount of DU used in Iraq by the number of square miles in that country. Then compare that number to the amount of naturally-occurring uranium that is around us all the time.

It assumes that you are stupid enough to believe that it is possible to punch through armor plate with something that 'areosolizes' on impact.

But - as the saying goes: "Never underestimate the power of human stupidity."

I think there is some truth of the matter but then again, I see a lot of conspiracy theorists. Pictures are disturbing but with out solid proof its heresy. How did they determine cancer rates? Which research companies confirmed this? I'm not saying that it hasn't happened, I'm just saying is heavily weighed one way.

do you ever wonder why you only see stuff like this on the internet and the liberal media who would love to show any anti-bush, ant-war stuff hasn't reported it? maybe because it's not credible enough to report.
