Once she has become a zombie she is not your mother so its OK to shoot. Then find the one that turned her into a Zombie and get them too!
Remember to tell your mother that you love her whenever you can, just in case she gets turned into a zombie!
"Mom, are you a zombie?", "No", "then I love you!"
Mom, are you a zombie?", "Yes" BANG
P.S. Of course, if you happen to know that there is a zombie reversal medicine around the corner, you may just want to lock her up somewhere for safekeeping...

I'll try saving her first. Slap the 'zombie-ness' out of her, or better yet, let her bite me, then I'll become a zombie too and she wouldn't eat me. Then we'll go to your place to eat you up for starting all of this.
