Why do people call racists ignorant???

I know who I'm targeting and WHY, and I know that maybe "not all of them are bad" but I also know the majority are bad. So why are racists always called ignorant?

because you are basing your facts on stereotypes not actual facts that is what makes you ignorant. It is not just racsists who are ignorant, it is anyone who argues for something or believes in something based on what other people tell them and not their own research.

Because they hate a race based on the skin color and if one person in that race does something bad then racist stupid people starts to say oh everyone in that race is bad.

U should know (if not then u are ignorant) that a person, no matter his/her race can do something bad.

U think that when u hate a person is a good thing?, is hate a good and nice feeling for u?, also, u are the one who suffers because u are the one who feels the hate, the anger, the anxiety and believe if for example u hate mexican... im Mexican and i dont care and feel that hate that u have for me. Im living in peace and u cant because u hate me.

Is time for u to change and accept the reality !!! dont be a racist, that is soooooooooooo from the past. Dont let hate consume your life !!!

Because obtaining any knowledge about the group or groups of people that racists discriminate against would illuminate them into understanding that their fear and hatred of such group or groups of people is completely ridiculous. Knowledge of who another person is more often than not simply lead you to understand that you two are a lot less different than you thought you were before. Racism is completely based on ignorance, that is why.

Good question. I have no clue. I'm sure people who are racist know more than enough to make thier own judgement. Why do some poeple not like mexican food? why do some girls not like wearing dresses? why do some people decide to be nuns and priests?

People have their own reasons for doing what they do.
That and becuase most poeple ahve no clue why poeple are racist. Everyone else just says racists are ignorant. And we all know, whatever society says, goes.

a racist is what? The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

last time i checked each race had idiots, dumbarses, upperclass, children, homos, hetros, and screw ups.... So unless a "racist" can hsow me a race that doesnt have the same thing another race has.... then they are pretty ignoranus... i mean ignorant.

I suppose that people assume they must just not know the facts about people, because if you know facts (and are therefore not ignorant), racism doesn't make sense.

racist are called ignorant cause u cant target a group of people just by wat few do. example white red neck i work with two oldere man and they sometimes have strong odors. now why would i claim that all red necks stink.

there no way to generalized people based on their genetics. every perosn is an individual and becasue of the judgement of racism, racism is propagated. the way that you treat people makes people believe that they are a certain way and they continue to act that way because it is socially accepted. so to truly erase racial stereotypes, negative ones, one should treat all people equal.
