Use a good garlic press. I pretty well use it in everything that has onion, and I just fry it with the onion. eg, making spaghetti, fry onion and garlic, then the mince etc...

You can use garlic in pretty much anything.
Just a few tips for its use:
There is a difference in flavour between crushed garlic and chopped garlic.
If you want to crush it, add a bit of crystalline salt, it helps it dissolve into a paste quicker.
If you "brown" garlic whilst frying it, or roasting, it developes a slightly "bitter" taste.
There is a big difference between Fresh (or green) garlic, and that which has been dried and allowed to develop its white papery skin.
There is a big difference in flavour in garlic from different countries - it tends to come from different places at different times of the year.
Why not try growing some yourself - its really easy, just separate out the cloves from a bulb, and plant about 2 inches apart in a large pot or in the garden. I find it can take up to a year to grow to useable size, but the flavour of a newly dug up bulb is the best yet.
Some simple suggestions,
Chop up your garlic and steep in olive oil, use as a dressing for salads or vegetables.
Chop some garlic, and mix with a good quality mayonnaise keep in fridge, and you will always have something tasty to add to your potatos, pasta, rice or whatever.
Recipe for "pickled garlic"
500ml distilled malt or white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons salt
1Kg fresh garlic
Put vinegar and salt into a non-corrosive pan, boil for 2-3 minutes and allow to cool.
Skin the cloves of garlic, and blanch them for 1 minute in boiling water, drain and pack into sterilised jars, pour in the vinegar, weight the cloves down and seal. The garlic will be ready in 1 month.
The garlic changes it's taste, and becomes almost sweetly perfumed, and can be served in any way you would use pickled onions
P.S. The leaves and flowers of the Wild Garlic in the spring make a wonderful addition to green salads

Garlic can be used on just about everything and the health benefits are wonderful. I make a delicious breakfast dish that is tasty and low fat as well.
I remove the yokes from the eggs, you can leave them in if you are not on a diet.
3-4 egg whites
parsley-about a quarter teaspoon
salt-to taste
old bay seasoning to taste
mix that together with the egg whites
In skillet, pour just enough oil for you food not to stick
approximately 2 tablespoons
You'll need:
1 yellow squash or green zuchini
1 can of mushrooms, or 1 cup fresh, sliced
1 onion, diced
1 or 2 cloves of garlic, depending how much of it you like.
green peppers about half of one, diced
saute' that in a skillet until lightly brown then add the egg mixture and cook. Top it off with a bit of parmesan cheese, a couple slices of toast, something to drink, and voila' you have breakfast.

Just roasted in the oven with other veggies like peppers, tomatoes, carrots, etc. it's gorgeous!
Then garlic goes very well with courgettes, aubergines and tomatoes too. Anytime you use these vegetables you can add some, chopped or pressed in a garlic press.
With meat? Oh yeah, stuff a chicken with 10 cloves of garlic or make some incisions in the skin of the bird and stick some cloves in it : very tasty !

Rub a peeled clove of garlic onto bread for instant *Garlic Bread*
Chop and add to boiled rice - mix with Ketchup and serve.
When you do a roast, pop some cloves into the baking tray with their skins still on - roasted garlic - this can also be done with onions.
Good idea to invest in a garlic crusher to save your fingers smelling for days, then just squeeze a crushed clove into pretty much any dish - soups, salads, noodles, potatoes (mix into mashed potatoes, add to top of roast, boiled or fried )
Invest in a good toothpaste and mouth wash !!

My fav is whole roasted garlic, Peel a few cloves, drizzle with olive oil and wrap in FRESH basil, wrap the entire mess in aluminum foil and bake at 350 for about 15 minutes. Great with steaks, chicken, and steamed veggies. The garlic is done when it is brown and mushy.....

u know sometimes when u perspire and do not wipe the perspiration off...over time, you get "white spots"...fungals etc....cut a garlic and rub it against the fungals/"white spots"...it will diminish them.....
roast the garlic for consumption....
when boiling soup....pop a few into the soup with skin intact.....when the soup is done, you can pop the whole garlic into your mouth and let the mooshy flesh of the garlic melt into your mouth......
drink lots of garlic soup when you go trekking on high altitude....helps with alttitude sickness.....
garlic kills germs in the body......eat more (if u r not allergic to garlic, that is)
