I don't know but I would assume that they like it better when we stay that way. So, yes it is important. But it's also important for me as woman. I look good and I want to stay that way. Call me narcissistic... Nothing wrong with loving oneself. And if that's your picture don't worry, you're beautiful. But that's not what matters the most: it's what inside that truly counts.

"What is beautiful is invisible to the eye". . .What catches one's attention is physical appearance, what makes one keep on staying with you is your inner personality. It would be hyprocrite to say that outside appearance does not matter, since its the very first thing one sees. But inner beauty do transcends the outside appearance. What is beautiful is much more profound and deeper to fathom and is a case of the over all personality of a person. A person's worth and character is measured by the way he treats or measures the importance of things and people.

Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes right to the bone. It is not what the outside looks like it is what is within a person that is most important.

Well looks are not everything but they do play a role in ones personality. One doesn't need to be as good looking as any movie star. But one needs to be tidy and look presentable. In the long run looks don't matter. Don't go to extreme to look good but try to look. People first like the face but later they fall in love with the personality...

Well, physical beauty does help. But I have seen attractive guys date and marry women I felt were very unattractive (and neither one were rich, either!!!!). And I believe love of the other's inner self is highly important.
We've seen stranger things develop in the areas of love, haven't we?
