Sounds like shingles. My husband had them. It's from the same virus that causes chicken pox and you can only get them if you have ever had chicken pox. They are painful. If it is shingles and your Dr. can tell you for sure if it is, then it's only contagious to those who have never had chicken pox, they can get chicken pox. Get to a Dr. for some meds.

if they form hard black heads then it is the return of chicken poxs yes they can come back on you and there is a shot for that now go to the hospital or call the er room first they might want you to be cleared before going around anyone. but if it is anything else then your at the right place to get the answers what it is and or how it can be cured

hello. if it looks exactly like chicken pox, it could be shingles. when you have chicken pox, the virus lives in your system forever. when you get stressed or run down, the virus can break out and travels along the nerves. it is only infectious to people who have never had the chicken pox.
it can be cured with antibiotics, but see a doc and get a proper diagnosis.

If you don't know what it is, it's best to ask a doctor instead of asking us. By the way, it *is* possible to have chicken pox more than once. My son had a mild case when he was 2, and then he had it again when he was 5. Maybe you've got chicken pox again. In any case, see a doctor.
