I've been trying to go regularly and so far have succeeded and don't really want to miss. Still, I don't want to workout and then have everyone else at the gym sick, nor do I want to get worse.

Think of your co gymnasts, every thing you touch can spread your cold germs to them..they will not be happy..working out will not hurt you, but go walking or bike riding instead..and help keep your friends well..they will thank you..

Best to stay away from the gym. You need to use your energy reserves to battle the cold - and the other gym members won't thank you for passing on the virus.

Although you'll probably lose some ground fitness-wise by staying away, you'll gain very little on top of what you have by going to the gym when you're dying of a cold, and will more than likely prolong the cold's stay.

NEVER NEVER NEVER go to the gym with any type of cold, summer or winter. Your body is under stress, hence the cold and by going to gym puts more strain on your body especially your heart. Even the slightest bit of exercise can cause damage. Rather just eat correctly don't go binge and wait until your 100% better before you go back to gym. Please take it easy and get better soon.

Don't do that to the other folks there. Please.

Give it at least five days, then do a HARD, sweaty workout, preferably away from other people. That burns the cold right out. I go for a long run to achieve that, with stops for pushups and situps.

Stay the heck away from the Gym if you are sick. Please don't spread your germs to others. Just rest and get better. It's so not worth it. Plus, is losing a week of work out really going to affect your muscle development? Nope, it sure won't.

If you work out properly with good technique you'll gain that week back quickly.

Yeah get in the gym and burn it out. No pain no gain pusssy.

Don't listen to the soft people. A little sniffle is not going to cause heart damage. Hypochondria is a far more serious affliction.
