1. She gets hungry at that time
2. They learn a schedule and follow it, by habit. Mine wakes me up at the time I usually go to the loo, then wakes my husband at the time he gets up to leave for work, then sleeps by me until I get up.

Cats are sticklers for routine and once they are on one they stay on it. Just like at different times of the day you cat will more than likely be sleeping in the same spot. If there is something in that spot they will sometimes knock it off in the floor or just lay down on top of it. Cats are very dependable. If you watch your cat long enough you will notice that the routine they keep is ideally the same as yours. Have fun watching.

It's their internal clock! They are just set up with a schedule and if you keep up with regular routines, they'll catch on. My old cat and I had our regular routines and he always knew when it was time for bed or food/water... Our two new kittens are catching on as well! I say just soak up the adorable-ness of it all and see how good she gets at your routines!! :-)

My cat wakes me up in the morning too! Usually they wake you up when they think you want to be woken up. For instance, if I sleep in, my cat will be sure to pester me until I'm up. I guess they just want to be helpful.. although that's not a scientific answer I guess.

lol cats are a lot smarter than ppl give them credit for. they are used to your "routine".
i had a huge black cat named Bagheera that would jump up on my husbands stomach and lick his head just as the alarm went off.
they just know!

when a cat is close to it's owner, it will sense what you need.

every time I come home to my parents' house, my cat starts meowing at the door for me, but not for anyone else.

your cat loves you very much

All animals can get into a rountine, and understand patterns. That's probably why.
