BEWARE!! Friends of America. The lid is coming off this can of “worms”. I knew that as this issue got hotter it would turn VERY violent. Not by “gringos”, but by the illegal invaders. These folks have a vested interest in protecting their ability to beg, borrow and definitely steal in this country. They are NOT going to go quietly. I predict massive riots, looting, and killing within 2-3 years as we try to deport and otherwise enforce the laws that are already on the books, not to mention new ones that will be passed in the next 2 years. So lock and load, yes I said it, because what today are knife assaults tomorrow will turn into gun attacks on the populace as a desperate 20-30 million illegal aliens are slowly ushered out of this country on posh jets by our mealy mouthed, weak, politically correct administration. You will have to keep your kids inside your house for fear of having them shot or abducted by aliens for ransom. You will have pot shots being taken at the morning rush hour traffic, especially at fancy BMWs Mercedes Lexus’s etc on I-15 and I-805 and 163 78 etc. from the bushes by disgrunteled unemployed workers. You will have 10x increased robberies of convenience stores and other small businesses. You will have marauding gangs roaming the streets at night to assault and rob pedestrians and carjackers. Just wait, a full blown civil war awaits us if we manage to “deprive” these people of day work, nanny work, hotel work, and agricultural labor jobs. Talk about Al Quaeda, we will have 20-30 million potential terrorists right here in our cities, ALL with fake ID and a network of friends and relatives to help them. It will make the Sunni Triangle look like Central Park, or Balboa Park, on a Sunday afternoon. It’s coming. Remember the LA riots?? Well this is 1000 times that. These illegals are getting angrier and more violent by the week, and Mr. Bush knows it. He has been advised by Homeland Security what I just said above. That’s why he’s such a worm about all this. He just doesn’t want it all to happen on his watch. The next president will have to completely capitulate to the illegals demands, or face the above consequences. What do you think will happen??

First off...and at the risk of being glaringly obvious here...but isnt the USA made up of immigrants?? Who decided that its time to shut the doors? To explain further... who said ok dudes...we have enough now and we dont like the riff raff so youre not welcome.
I've seen this argument rage all over the internet and cant get my head around the sheer arrogance of people who believe that the earth is some kind of ranch where we can pen in different people to convenient little enclosures and justify greed and exclusivity like its some sort of God given right.
Who made these rules? Why is it ok to travel thousands of miles across the US or Europe for that matter for a job which pays 60 grand a year instead of 50 and yet someone cant travel a few hundred because their children are starving?
Borders are man made and IMO have been created and reinforced cynically and for the wrong reasons.
I believe there should be no borders at all, anywhere. I believe that every person born into this world deserves as much right as anyone else to what the world can offer him/her.
Maybe some of you think this is unfeasible, and given the current situation youre probably right. I do believe though, that its time we started to look at what divides us as a 'global nation' and started to work towards finding ways to redress the balance.

I think Americans were overly generous and to a fault with illegal immigrants, but now they are waking up and doing something about it, whether the Federal government wants to, or not! One by one, the different cities and states are making their own laws and enforcing the ones already on the books and bit by bit, the citizens of the USA are getting a handle on illegal immigration. Every other day I see news about changes in enforcement and border security improvements. It makes my heart happy! No one EVER said this problem would be solved overnight. It didn't happen overnight and so it will take time to overcome the problem. Just like losing weight - you didn't gain that weight overnight, and you are not going to lose it all overnight. The USA is steadily but surely losing the weight of illegal immigration. Citizens are taking back their neighbourhoods, their schools, their hospitals, their social services, their jobs, their stolen IDs. They have been generous but when that generosity isn't appreciated and they find that they are now being taken advantage of because of their generosity, they say, "Enough is enough!" When illegal immigration has grown to the extent that it is now harming their own children and families, Americans take a stand and do something about it. While Americans are full of compassion and caring for the people of the world, and they are the most generous people in the world, they do not have this to the exclusion and detriment of their own.
Illegal immigrants - time to say bye-bye! Get ready, because you will be found and you will be deported. It may not be today or tomorrow, but it won't be at a time convenient to you, that is for sure!

well you have to specify what you mean by "immigration". As you can see and have acted on, the nation assumes that immigrants are only spanish speakers. This is just funny because i wasn't aware that the Asian countries were now demanding all their people to be fluent in Spanish. Immigrants have always been an issue in the U.S. but have now become a "problem" in the U.S. mainly due to September 11th. We are all immigrants (except the native Americans and Original Californians ( now Mexicans). The issue is not what language they speak but the fact that they become everyone's escape goat when they (not immigrants) can't get up their fat a$$es and get a job, any job. These people take all jobs available because they come to the U.S. to strive and provide for their families. It's not their intent to be here and get Gov't aid. It's self diminishing for them aswell but they have to in order to survive. If by immigrants you are reffering "terrorist" groups and the hoodlums roaming the streets then yes but even then that's few number of these people.

Is immigration a problem in the USA? No. No it isn't because there is plenty of room, a ridiculously large economy and 'The American Dream' right?
Immigration is a problem in the UK where there is very little room and it appears benefit is filtered straight to asylum seekers ahead of genuinely poor families. I'm not against immigration but illegal immigration is wrong and a problem in both countries.
But so far as immigration into the US goes, a multicultural nation with a number of skills shortages where 'anyone can achieve' means immigration is not a problem. Christ you have so much room you manage to fit Bush AND his ego.

Immigration is not out of hand. America encourages and in fact needs immigration from a lot of countries and backgrounds. Many of Americas finest achievements have been achieved with a large part of the input coming from immigrants, particularly from Europe.
You mean illegal immigrants surely.
Careful how you upset the Spanish speakers though. They are said to be close to outnumbering English speakers in America soon.

Hahaha, very funny question. Maybe America should stop Green Card lotteries before they wall themselves in down South? Or here's another idea.. How about America reduces it's 50 % consumption of world reserves like oil, has it redistributed a bit.. So that people outside the Land of Dreams can live too - and an ice age could be averted?
Nahh, that's ok, I'm a European, we don't get you.

It is out of control, however, we must understand why people come to the US. Latin America is going through a very tough time due to government corruption. Those politicians are biggest thieves because they steal from the poor. There are many businesses failing, therefore there are not too many jobs.l People come to the US so they can be able to provide at least a plate of food for their families.

Illegal immigration is not so far out of hand that Americans cannot control it. America as a country has made great strides in keeping these criminals out, and is making progress daily to remove these criminals.
