I had surgery on my ears last summer, and ever since I block things out...I play sports, and a week ago i got a double, but I cant remember how the ball landed, how I hit the ball, things like that....Anyone know what im talking about?

Well, although the surgery is when you started noticing these episodes, they can be totally unrelated.

The human brain is delicate but also a magnificent thing. The ability of the brain to recuperate is astounding. We use less than 4% of our brain. When people have a stroke, they need to relearn things. The reason they can is because the brain will allow you to re-map.

It seems to me you have a problem with your short term memory, and you should really talk to your doctor about it.

BTW - There is also a thing called muscle memory. That is when you do something so often, and for so long, you don't even have to think about it in order to do it. For example - doing free-throw shots.

Sometimes when I used to go to work about 1/2 hour away from where I lived, I wouldn't remember the trip. I would remember leaving my house, and the next thing I knew I was pulling into my parking spot. I always chalked that up to muscle memory! (LOL)

no im sorry i really dont but i think you should go see a doctor to get checked to make sure it is nothing too serious!
