You can't have it both ways - either America is sovereign, or illegal immigration is a human rights issue.

I, for one, affirm America is sovereign, therefore immigration is not a human rights issue.

Why don't you fight for human rights where you came from? Why do you pro-illegal repeat what people in your government lied to you about only America has human rights for citizens?

We really need that fence in place. Mexico and other countries need to support their own citizens, or they need to support themselves, whatever it works out to, main thing is the end result that US taxpayers aren't doing it anymore, not with 8.4 trillion in red ink on the books. Abolish welfare, start firing these pro-mexican city officials, and have done with the whole mess.
America should consider the welfare of its' citizens FIRST, if we want to have foreign aid, that can happen, but within some pretty strict parameters. Otherwise, what you've got is an open-ended system for the US taxpayer to end up 'obligated' to support half the planet, somehow, and I say 'screw THAT'. Independence is better, and those that don't care for that idea should ALSO be heartily welcomed to depart our shores and go live in their global 'wonderland' etc. We're doing well to rid our country of
the people that want to permanently merge somehow with other nations. I say 'no' to that, not just 'no', but HELL no! I don't want the People's Republic of Crapistan demanding representation in US elections. They can go jump.

The way you word your question confuses the issue.

Sovereign state means one ruled by a person who rules with supreme power. Presidents do not have supreme power as this is controlled by congress. As a king or queen is a sovereign even if the do not have supreme power it is said to be a sovereign state. Definitely not America then.

The definition that does apply is "independent of outside authority".

As far as human rights are concerned you are totally wrong. Whilst America has the Bill of Rights it does not have Human Rights as such. Europe as far as I know is the only actual Human rights bill in existence.

Human rights has very little to do with immigration in the way you suggest in your question as the illegal immigrants you seem to refer to would be economic migrants and not refugees.

People have revolted in Mexico and many were killed. Its had a tumultuous past or haven't you read its history?

America is loosing its sovereignty, but its not because of illegals, its because our govt will eventually form a state with Mexico and Canada and open all these borders to those countries.

Its in the making and foreseeable in the not too distant future. So, if you are worried about our sovereignty, you better look to our govt. which is selling it away.

I am for human rights and why can't I support human rights from my country which is USA? I don't support globalism and the real enemy is the American govt., wake up America.....

I''m afraid this brainwashing of Americans began in the 60's with TV showing programs making the parents look like idiots and the school system teaching our kids not to think for themselves. The schools have undermined the parental role and have empowered themselves with the restructuring of the "questioning" process which was once part of learning. The only "questioning" allowed now is to question those who still subscribe to traditional and spiritual values.

It will take time to wake up the younger generations to realize that America is a sovereign nation and we must protect that. I fear that it will take another horrible disaster before the people band together en mass, to retake our country.

GOKART121....Amen and Amen! We need that fence YESTERDAY!

Those that say it's a Human problem don't say it's human rights. As I've said before I'm for helping all humans regardless of their nationality If they need the help IE> The homeless, the working poor, the single parents, etc. Not only do I say it I do it. You see actions speak louder than words.

America IS a sovereign country. However, the Bush administration is seeing to it that that will be a thing of the past.

Yes, the US is sovreign. immigration shold be dictated by our government. The problem is, we are not supporting the laws we already have in place. If we did, there would not be an immigration problem.
