ALL? No .. Many? probably. But so is pretty much anyone on tv. I think if you look around you will find some who are truly doing it to serve Gods Will a few that come to mind as GOOD to watch are Joyce Meyers and that guy in Texas with the Church that used to be a football field (I can't remember his name) They both ask for money yes but that is to be expected it does take money to run an organization that big. But they both will also do much for Free. (I have never paid for a Joyce Meyers membership even though they do ask for money I am too broke to do so now maybe one day I will but not now even so I get the magazine and an occasional free book or tape and never a call asking me to "try to donate" unlike some others I have seen.

Every group of people has a few bad apples - that is the diversity of mankind. Also, money does have a corruptive influence so when you are around as much of it as is required to run that large of an organization, the temptation will always be there. However, I feel that most televangelists truely believe what they preach and feel that they are helping people as well as they are able.

There are some respectable preachers on television, not all of them are thief's, notwithstanding a lot of them are. different worst are not unavoidably those inquiring for money each of the time yet are preaching a squishy Gospel and bringing people to CHRIST for the incorrect causes, who will maximum in all probability fall away even as they locate out we serve JESUS and in no way any opposite direction round. i imagine that most of the those that deliver the con-artists money are determined - those hucksters tell those that they are going to get 10 situations the money they deliver in or that they are going to get therapeutic or inspite of. those that purposely rip people off finally end up driving people remote from following CHRIST that's some thing they can ought to respond to for.

No, not all tele-evangelists are crooks. I have been greatly blessed by Creflo Dollar's mininstry in Atlanta, Georgia. I was a struggling Christian and ready to give up on God. About 3:00 in the morning I could not sleep. Something had told me to turn on the T.V. I wondered what could be on at this time in the morning. I remembered Creflo Dollar is on at this time. I did not want to watch him because alot people said he was a crook. I said Lord, I can't watch him he's crook. But the Lord convinced me to turn on the T.V. I listened to the message he gave. It helped me right away with me situation. It was the first time I had actually had someone unfold the bible in a way that I could put applications of bible to use right away. I began to listen to him for the next ten years. I have had nothing but great success by listening to him in his ministry. The devil turns people away from big ministries in order to keep them in the dark about there potential. Alot of successful tele-evangelists are people who have lived, persevered, and reaped the benefits of God's promises. They are people who God uses as examples of what He can do in a persons life. God does want us to be well and prosperous and not broke. There should never be anything such as a broke Christian.

No, but some are led by other than the Holy Spirit, I believe.

Please don't judge all by the acts of some; I know some spectacularly "sold/souled" evangelists who are gifted and hungry for God!

avoid TBN

No one can make a blanket judgment the way you are asking. All is a big word. Let's just say that some are and the rest are in the process of being studied.

NO!!! Many are sincere people who are more interested in your spiritual well being than how much you contribute to their ministry. I would be careful of those that make wild predictions.

Much more can be said.

NO!!!!!!! Some of them are good friends of mine, and I know they are straight up, good, men, and women of God, trying to tell the world about Jesus as He commanded us to do.

I am an Evangelist, and would love it if He saw me worthy of a television ministry.
