Admit it. You took someone else's word for what the Doctrine and Covenants was saying, and they had it all wrong.

May I please say with all respect that even a non LDS person with a little bit of context would be able to tell exactly what that verse is saying.
Its clear--"Art thou Greater than He?" Meaning, are you (Joseph Smith) in any way greater than Jesus Christ? The obvious answer is no, of course not. Joseph Smith is not in any way putting himself above Christ. Grow up.
I am a Jew. I was Born a Jew, and jewish blood courses through my veins. I am from the tribes of Israel, and as a jew, I had no concern for Christ as a savior.
The Mormon Missionaries found me and my family, and they taught me the gospel. I rejected it at first, as most do, but allow me to say that it was not the missionaries who convinced me otherwise.
I know, by the spirit of God, (Gal 5:22, John 3:26) that the LDS church is the church of Christ, and that Jesus Christ is indeed the savior of the world.
I can't go farther than that without feeling like I'm just throwing my ideas to the wind---I'm not uneducated, I'm a professional, I have a family, and every bone in my body knows that Christ is the savior of the world....the messiah which my extended family is still waiting for.

In proclaiming this doctrine, neither Joseph Smith nor his successors have in any way sought to limit or degrade the Almighty. In fact, both the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants state emphatically that there is no knowledge or power or divine attribute that God does not possess in perfection. "O how great the holiness of our God! For he knoweth all things, and there is not anything save he knows it" (2 Nephi 9:20; see 2 Nephi 2:24; Moroni 7:22). He truly "has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding" (Alma 26:35). He who is "mightier than all the earth" (1 Nephi 4:1) "comprehendeth all things, and all things are before him" (D&C 88:41). Mormons accept the reality that "there is a God in heaven, who is infinite and eternal, from everlasting to everlasting the same unchangeable God, the framer of heaven and earth, and all things which are in them" (D&C 20:17).

Section 122 was a revelation to Joseph Smith while he was imprisoned in Liberty Jail, March 1839.
It was a message of comfort to him. Telling him that his trials would be worth it in the end.
Verse 8:The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?
The Son of Man, Jesus Christ, descended below them all (endured incomprehensable hard ship and was the most humble person ever). Art thou greater than he?(If Christ didn't complain through His hard ships and He suffered the worst. What give you, Joseph Smith, the right to complain when you trial are nothing compared to Christ's)
Verse 8 is reminding Joseph Smith that he has nothing to complain about since his tribulations are nothing compared to Christ's.
Trust me I'm LDS I know what these verses mean.

Joseph had been complaining about the persecutions that he and the Saints had been going through. This revelation explains that the bad things we go through help us to grow and progress.
Verse 8:The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?
This is just the opposite of what you say it is. God is telling him that Christ suffered all things. Joseph was not going to be spared his trials (none of are) because God's Only Beggotten Son wasn't spared his

Hey Mr. Additional details "Sorry But Anyone That Says God (creator) Has A God (creator) Is Realy Mislead IE You Mormons Are Wrong"
You seem to be implying that God was created by another creator. He wasnt. that's just stupid. Non of us were created. Adam's physical body was formed out of the dust. It wasn't created. Our spirit have been around for eternity. They were never created and they will never die. Same with God. God's spirit has been around forever never created or will die. But there must have been someone to organize his physical body. Of course his God.
1 Cor 8
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Gods Father isnt our God. We have only one God and that is our father. If he is our father then we are his children. and don't children grow up to be the same species as their parents? Just use common sense and the scriptures.
