ok, so i know that it means "things" as is "sukina koto" (things i like) and "mita koto ga aru" (i have seen that before) but i have seen it in other places, like at the end of sentences, and im not sure what that means. can soemone clarify exactly how "koto" can be used?

In addition to your examples; Hontou no koto o hanashite kudasai (please tell me the truth), Nan no koto (about what?)....事, a matter, a case, a thing, an affair, something , anything...Its use depends on the sentence.

Depending on the kanji it could mean different things.
