can i still paint (and display) the wooden matrioshka after making the papier mache or not?

Unlikely it will destroy the wood. You should be able to paint it after it has dried. I don't know if it would pick up the etchings on the wood. I am speaking as to the properties of plywood and paper mache. I have no idea what a matrioshka is.

i'd opt for some thing rather if it has those little Charmon bears. Lol except i particularly %. any ply then use leaves as tolit paper -attack of the bunnies (yay we are attacked with the help of their hugs)
