I've read 24 hours before hatching its possible to hear a chick chriping inside the egg. I have an egg that may possibly hatch this friday is it true that you can hear the chick chriping 24 hours before hatching or not?

I've read about other people who said they've heard it but I thought I'd ask just to be sure.

Yes its true. If you talk to the egg before it hatches, your new baby chick(s) will imprint to the sound of your voice. I've done this for years with ducks and geese I raised.

It's a lot of fun, but can be a pain if you don't have time or energy on the newly dependent chicks/ducklings. They get loud and needy when they don't sense you around.

When that happens, like when you need to sleep, just play a radio on a talk station. It will quiet them a bit, but they won't be truly happy until they hear and see you again!

Yes it is sometimes chick are even too weak to break the egg open to get out.About 24 hours before they hatch the normally well developed so its very likely.

It's true. Have you ever heard about placing eggs that are about to hatch next to one another to encourage their hatching?
I suppose you can find more information in one of the many search engines.

It's true! They make a huge racket before they start pipping. Sometimes it takes as long as 4 days before the chick hatches, so you get quite a bit of cheeping and peeping going.

yes, on some eggs you can hear them in there. They have to be incubated at the right temps and turned the right way everyday before they will hatch.
