Daimler-Chrysler and Mopar will fufill your request for the automatic transmission in the Regular Cab SRT-10 Ram. prepare for a hellacious price hike for the automatic tranmission. i urge you to develop good skills with a manual transmission. i am spoiled by my automatic in my 2000 Concorde, however i am ready to drive a manual transmission if the need be. the difference in performance between the two transmissions will be unnoticed when driving since automatic transmission technology is sophicated, it rivals the best human operation of any manual transmission. it's your money and your choice on the transmission. i will conclude on your good choice of choosing Daimler-Chrysler for sure. enjoy the SRT.

If you want to spend the money, anything can be done. First of all, you would need an Automatic transmission (47RE, 2WD) from an older V-10 truck. It would then (IMHO) need to be sent to a transmission specialist (like B&M Transmissions) to be built up to take the horsepower the SRT10 puts out. Also would need custom transmission cooler and lines. Then you would have to make a custom wiring harness to convert from a manual transmission. As far as the transmission computer, you may be able to "Piggy-back" a Diesel transmission controller, but I'm not really sure that would work. A new steering column would be necessary, along with brackets, braces, etc. welded into place. Again, IMHO, it would cost more to convert it than the truck costs! And I haven't even scratched the surface as far as labor is concerned! So, I guess I would have to say "Not Feasible" on this one! Sorry.

The SRT-10 regular cab is not available from the factory with an automatic like the other answer states.
You can change just about any car from a manual to an auto, but it'll cost a fortune. Just learn to drive stick, it's better anyway, especially with 500 hp.

You can simply purchase the truck that way. I work for a chrysler dealer and I take courses on the Dodge product also. You can go to DodgeChryslerJeep.com
