Will you rate Mumbai as the worlds best city? Readers Digest said it was the rudest city!?

If anyone has seen the terror yesterday - im sure they would say how the city helped every injured commuter to the hospital - and how they helped people with water and food till 3.00 - 4.00 Am.

I think the readers digest survey was a superficial one, one cannot judge the character of a city by just noting the number of shopkeepers who say thank you or counting the number of those who held a door open.
After yesterdays terror attack on the city and the way the people came forward to help i must say that Mumbai is one of the best cities in the world.
almost just as soon as the bombs ripped apart the city the local people came forward to help ,at that time there were no authorities available so people took it upon themselves to bail out people from the devastation. the locals took it upon themselves to help the trapped people to shuffle through the debris and take the injured to the hospitals, it dose not end at that, people provided shelter to the stranded ,food and water was served, strangers extended their help to strangers and together made a silent promise to come out of the disaster united.
I seriously think when readers digest carries such surveys in the future they take into account the true spirit of the people of a city and not make judgements based on some stupid trivialities.

After living in Mumbai for 8 yrs. and working at TATA consultancy, I have never been accosted by someone.

Every city has bad people. You can't label one city as rude.

I've never lived in the Mumbai but I'm pretty sure it's a good city. I live in Ahmedabad and it's a best city to me.

Mixed people will live at all places in this world.But Mumbai is a best city in INDIA

Cultural differences can't be tagged as "rude" or somethings like that.

But I don't think Mumbai one of the world's best city.
