We have a 7-month old baby for whom we're giving the ragi-based baby food, brand 'Silverspoon'. I've observed that when cooked in water and kept for 4 hours, its top layer has a lighter colour, much like starch. Is it hygienic to cook it in the morning and feed the baby in the evening? Are there precautions to be taken while storing this?

As long as it has an air tight seal and you refrigerate it, it'll be good for at least 3 days. If your cooking it, boil it and it's sterilized.
