Probably only the first half. Too bad nobody told him how it ends.

The Holy Bible, the collection of 66 books that we know today as the Old and New Testaments, did not exist as such a collection in the days when Jesus was upon the earth.

Jesus read from the Jewish scriptures of His people, the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

Jesus does not need to be saved. He lived a perfectly sinless life on this earth and as such is Holy and able to be with God in heaven.

Act 1:9 After He had said this, He was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
Act 1:10 While He was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.
Act 1:11 They said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen Him going into heaven."

Act 7:55 But Stephen, filled by the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw God's glory, with Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and he said,
Act 7:56 "Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

We however, have a different type of situation.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning" - John1:1
Jesus is the Word! It was He who spoke all things into existence in Genesis (He was always with the Father), and who spoke to the Old Testament prophets, then came to be with us and die in our place. How awesome is that? That is how great and loving God is!
He also met Paul on the Road to Damascus and revealed the writings of the Epistles of the New Testament after that through His Spirit, and to John, Peter and James as well.
Jesus is the Word! - the Bible inspiration and the Spirit in those who follow him - The Truth, The Life and The Way.
Reference above - Christ does indeed save us (not the Bible) in our need and His Word, the Bible, guides us and gives us truth. Jesus did pray, read and use scripture to teach us while He was with us.

You have to go and look in the Bible and read about how Jesus as a young man was in the temple daily teaching. He often quoted certain scriptures to His disciples and the Pharisees. In John 1:1-4, Jesus is the Living Word of God. His name means, "salvation". Jesus did not have to be "saved", since He did not commit any sins. Sinners need salvation because our sins have seperated us from God.

The Bible did not exist then. It is not likely that he knew how to read as there is no mention anywhere of him reading or mentioning reading. He may have had access to scrolls of some of the Jewish works that comprise the old testament but as most of these were written in Hebrew and Jesus only spoke aramaic it is unlikely that he could access them. What Jesus knew he almost certainly learned orally

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is The Word of God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

You know something, me and a lot of other Christians can go on and on answering your questions, but you need to do some homework yourself.

If you love God, study the letter He left you, His Word, the Bible. You'll find that it is wonderful. Its a story of how we all got here. The story of a man and his family. Through this mans family the Saviour of the world is born. How He live. What He taught us. How His death defeated death (Satan). How we are now justified before the Father through His Son Jesus Christ. Go read a little now and see for yourself. It'll change your life for the better.><>

He read some of Isaiah aloud that talked about himself.

Jesus didn't sin, so he didn't need to be saved. Plus reading the Bible isn't what saves, it's believing in Jesus and confessing and turning away from sin.

"You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." ~John 5:39-40

They didnt have a bible back then. The various books of scripture were contained on scrolls and there were many books they had back then that we dont have now(thanks Catholics:P). Besides you dont have to read the Bible to be saved you must follow all of God's commandments. And you are forgetting on ething. Christ was sinless. He was already saved.

Jesus was a Jew, and like many of the Jews at the time he studied the Torah. He was very fluent in the Law of the Old Testament and quoted it very often.

However the New Testament was created after his death.

Jesus did not need to be saved because he committed no sin because he was God.

read luke 4:14-22. he actually reads it OUTLOUD....
he read the books of the prophets and knew the old testament and law of Moses.
salvation is not dependent on how much of the Bible you read, where did you get that idea?
He overcame death after paying the price for our sins and rose again. He was the victorious son of God. He lived a blameless life and never sinned. Did he really need salvation if he was already going to Heaven?

He read and discussed with people , what we call the Old Testament. The New Testament writings first appeared between 20 and 30 years after the Crucifixion.
