My 45" LC45D40U sharp aquos LCD TV makes a humming noise or like a furnace turn on even if volume is down.

Is that normal or should I take it back to the store. Just bought it a week ago.

FLAT PANELS HAVE A FAN INSIDE TO KEEP THEM COOL.
DO YOU HAVE IT SET UP WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION?
I HAVE A PLASMA AND HAVE NEVER NOTICED ANY NOISE. I WOULD TALK TO THE DEALER AND TAKE A LOOK (OR A LISTEN) AT THE SAME MODEL AND SEE IF IT IS NORMAL FOR YOUR TV.

If the set is new, definitely complain to the store. It sounds like fan noise, and it should not be noticeable.

check all connections and try new wires,sounds like a bad ground.One wire may be hooked up wrong or bad alltogether.
