Amplify by matrix and blowdrying your hair upside down, the combination really works.

Oh welcome to my world!

So there are a few things you can do.

Volumizing Shampoos and Conditioners are good place to start. This products will seemingly plump your hair or refrain from leaving any residue or film.
I personally like KMS California products. There's a gel conditioner that light weight.

Now arm yourself with a round brush, a hair dryer and some root and body lift (a light way spray foam that adheres to hair for volume), volumizing blow dry lotion (light weight lotion for light volume and no residue), or volumizing mousse (provides texture and body while protecting from heat).

Most people like mousse, I prefer the lotion, but, it all depends on your preference and hair.

Now put a dollop of the product in the palm of your hand, and rub your hands together and now distribute through your hair concentrating on the roots.

NOW IT'S BLOW DRY TIME!

Flip your hair over, and blow dry your hair out using a round brush to control sections. Always pay attention to the roots because this is where you're getting your lift.

If you want to blow dry your hair upright I find it easier to section my hair off then concentrate on each section by rolling hair in my round brush and pulling hair up and away from my head. Again, blow dry concentrating on the roots and the move the drier up towards the roots.

Make sure the length of your hair is dry. Wet ends will weigh hair down.

Now you want to style?

To maintain volume you DO NOT want to pile on the products. This will only weigh your hair down. So you need to be selective on how you use the products.

Say you want to use a pomade, a styling cream, gel or whatever. when you apply, apply sparingly and keep away from the roots.

There are volume sprays, I personally hate them. You want to create weightless lift. Make that your motto. Weightless lift will come by using a select few and specific ingredients. Using too many will deflate your hair and it'll be limp.
YUCK.

Other volume tactics are mostly after you apply the volumizing products to your roots and it's during the dry.

Velcro rollers are a pain in the butt, but, they give great volume. Check out karmacake.blogspot.com and see the girl's profile pick. That look is velcro rollers & mousse and a spray glosse.

Or, tie your hair up in a high bun and let it air dry. Set with a blow dryer if you want.

Velcro rollers will give extreme volume
Brush and Blow Dry will give a medium volume
Drying in a bun will give light and natural volume.

Good products, good technique, good understanding.

Good luck!

Only use a small amount of shampoo and conditioner. A dime-sized drop of shampoo and a quarter sized drop of conditioner used mostly on the ends. Your scalp doesn't need or want conditioner so use very little there.
Use a little bit of mousse as you dry your hair and when you're nearly dry use a Redken's 18 second, quick dry hair spray. Lift a thin section at a time and spray, hold in place for five seconds and let go. Repeat as needed around the sides of your head near the scalp to give you lift. Style carefully and you're ready to go.

if u have long hair maybe try going a little short with it and get it layered and textured so u have the volume and its not so flat. Also try blow drying it from the roots out that adds volume

Volumizing products work, but I have thin hair and I find drying my hair upside-down and then curling the bottom-layer really helps! Don't use too much hair-spray though; it will look frizzy.

I have really fine, flat hair as well. I brush my hair upside down while I'm blowdrying it and it works wonders for me. There is also a line called BIG HAIR and its pretty good.

Add beer or eggs to your shampoo. Protein is in both and that's what gives you fuller hair.
