Increase the oatmeal to 1 cup. Whole wheat bread is not a complex carbohydrate nor is it whole grain. Eliminate it entirely if possible. Add a handful of almonds and a small fruit with every breakfast and your in business.

It's pretty good,
You have a
Carb-Fiber with the oatmeal,
Protien with yogurt, nuts would be good too.
Whole Wheat Toast consider a Multiy Grain Bread instead.
Fruit would help the balance Apple, or any of the Berries.

Healthful--not healthy. You are healthY; food is healthFUL.
Do oatmeal OR whole wheat toast--not both. And, an apple a day really DOES keep the doctor away.
Congratulations for even caring.

You need to add 2 or 3 eggs or egg whites. Proteitn builds and repairs your body. Cut out the yogurt and one slice of toast, but keep the oatmeal. Carbs give you immediate energy. Add some fruit salad and almonds. Fat builds your brain and hormones and cells and gives you long term, lasting energy.

yes, it is balanced, with oatmeal ( though old fashioned oats are better), low fat yogurt, and 2 slices of whole wheat toast, is a little too much, you might want to alternate with 2 slices if on diet.

hum.....i suppose but remember a balanced meal should have something from every food group- say a bananna or an apple- some toast - some eggs- and some oatmeal- and some milk.

if you want it burned off by lunch. i'm a firm believer in eating a balanced diet, which would be carbs and protein. try some eggs and maybe some chicken breast with that. they're still low fat and will give your body some nourishment

Too healthy for me... throw in a couple of sausage links or strips of bacon or Portuguese sausage or Spam in there, some eggs over easy, to balance it out better.

Yes, so would fruit instead of one of those pieces of bread. You can then cut it up and throw it in the oatmeal. Yum.:P
