Add/Remove programs in the control panel, select Norton and click uninstall. It will most likely have other programs you will have to manually remove like live update and such.

Why do you want to remove it?It is absolutely necessary for an antivirus such as the Norton to protect against today's spywares and viruses.Anyway you should disable INTERNET WORM PROTECTION and REMOVE AUTOPROTECT.Open Norton Antivirus and then you'll get the status of all the programs related to Norton like Autoprotect,Sys scan,Internet worm protection. You should disable internet worm protection to prevent it from blocking sites. And disable autoprotect if you want to avoid the Norton intruding while you are browsing through the sites.

If you don't want Norton at all then go to Add/Remove programs and remove it.Anyway I'd strongly suggest you keep it active.
Good luck.Hope this helps.

Start, control panel, add & remove Programs. Select the programs you want to uninstall. Do not go to programs and try to delete it, that only move it from one place to another.
