Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

Crushes are exciting and frustrating, and sometimes you get confused. Ask Yourself these questions
1) Does he come and talk to you a lot?
2) Does he ask you to do stuff with him?
3) How does he treat you in respect to other girls?
If you answer yes to the first two questions and "amazing" to the third, you have a great chance! If not, Hang in there and build a friendship with him

If you know him and have been hanging out with him as a friend then definitely don't tell him. If he likes you, then he will do things that will allow you to know that he wants to be more than friends. I would give him things to think of me. Be subtle and not to forward. If you tell him and he is not interested, he will start to avoid you and he will be really nice about it. But he will tell his friends that you are sweating him and he is not interested. If you don't know him and you are just kind of gazing from afar, then I would just introduce myself and always remain confident. Men love to know that you are confident and got a life. They don't want some woman that is desperately seeking susan.

you can tell by the way he looks at you. he will look right into your eyes when he talks to. he will also try to make you laugh and suggest things that you two could do together.
