That is right. Nothing in reality is either good or bad. That is just the warped perception of humans. I mean the universe doesn't give a **** if what happens inside it is good or evil, it just does what it does.

Moral relativism is a concept that can't be ignored in this case. While there are areas of grey you have to have a standard of some type. In this case the standard is the law which states murder is against what the law considers right and proper. The law is backed up by moral absolutes such as The 10 Commandments. Without this absolute moral basis then any behavior can be justified. This is what you are trying to do with the concept of murder. However, based on the law and on the moral absolutes this behavior cannot be justified.

If thinking makes something good or bad, then my question to you is can the same thing be both good to you and bad to someone else? In that case anything can be good if someone thinks it is, like flying planes into buildings in New York City.
A man shooting another man is killing, not murder. If the blood is innocent, it is murder. If that other person is trying to kill his child and he does it to protect his child, it is self-defense and not murder.
Murder is sinful. I don't know about "legal" but I can say that I can't come up with a non-self-defense situation where killing is not sinful.

THERE was a good Original Star Treck show (of the Serie's)
that had a Rock Monster on it. He did an experiment using Generated Outlaw's and People (Officer's of Enterprise) off the Ship. The Rock Monster found out that GOOD and BAD both used the Same method's to Destroy (kill) one another.
The CREATOR Decide's what is GOOD and BAD. It's in the BIBLE, it's called the Word of GOD, and HIS Name is JESUS.
Outside of the Word of GOD, we tend to become our own GOD's, and only HE can tell us what is Right and Wrong.
GOD gave us a good Country to Live in, U.S. of A. and gave us The RIGHT to maintain a Law Enforcement and Court System to Maintain Law and Order. All Law's we make are Supposed to go by the WORD of GOD, it's in the BIBLE. Hope this helps.
p.s. It is o.k. to DEFEND yourself, up to the Point of Killing your Attacker IF HE WON"T STOP TRYING TO KILL YOU.
GOD Almighty UPHOLD's this and will even HELP YOU KILL HIM, if HE decide's to HELP YOU. Hope this helps.

I don't agree with your premise. Murder in any form is wrong. For one man to shoot another presumes that the one doing the shooting has bought a gun. That makes the murder premeditated. BAD! Self defense, still killing is wrong. More than self defense, protecting ones family from being killed by first killing the attacker, still wrong, but justified. Probably not prosecuted by the justice system.

Interesting thought, it's all just a sliding scale as to what fits the situation. The eternal gray, but at some point the shades must divide; if a decision is to be made. Then in that moment is there good and bad.

Murder is never a good thing.
However self-defense is legal.
For the government to Kill the guilty to protect the innocent is not murder. However individuals should not take the law into their own hands if at all possible.
Cordially,
John

murder is a good thing if it's an eye for an eye
You murder someone in my family I'm coming after you regardless of the law and killing you, I think most people would think like this because the law does not do enough

No, I agree with the Bible. In dense darkness it is impossible to see anything. You can easily becomes lost or disoriented. And so it is that those in spiritual darkness lack perception and soon become disoriented in a spiritual sense. Those who live in spiritual darkness are being influenced by the god of the darkness, Satan the Devil, and consequently they are alienated from the source of light and life.—Ephesians 4:17-19. They can lose the ability to distinguish truth from falsehood, good from bad. Many call bad good and good bad, as it was foretold they would do.
“Woe to those who are saying that good is bad and bad is good, those who are putting darkness for light and light for darkness, those who are putting bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)
They say it is the Bible’s moral code that they view as sick, unhealthy for modern men to follow. Instead of men striving to meet good standards, they would lower the standards to meet bad men. So they would remove guilt by closing their eyes to wrong. They do not approve of holding to God’s standards, but approve as proper freedom the practicing of immorality.
Actually, immoral persons have a disapproved mental view: “Although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened. Although asserting they were wise, they became foolish. Therefore God in keeping with the desires of their hearts gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them. And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting. Although these know full well the righteous decree of God, that those practicing such things are deserving of death, they not only keep on doing them but also approve those practicing them.”—Rom. 1:21, 22, 24, 28, 32, NW.

Yes, there are times when murder is a good thing even in times when it is not in self defense. This doesn't mean that it is always a good thing. I believe that there are few absolutes in this world.

I disagree. There is definitely good and bad, regardless of any person's opinion. We as people do not have the authority to determine what is good or bad, but it's amazing how we tend to think we do.
