when you call a company or doctor's office to only get a recording and it takes you a good ten minutes to get a human on the phone?

What choice do we have? But what really REALLY bugs me is when after all that waiting, they send you right back to the original menu or cut you off totally.

Now THAT's annoying...

I do hate this!!!! But since I have worked in a position that required me to be on the phone, I can understand how hectic things can get, and how necessary a phone recording can be. But I definetly think that some companies and doctor's offices do this in excess, and are probably sitting back filing their nails or goofing off with coworkers. How do I know? I did say I was in a position like that before :-)

not as bad as I hate when calling an office or business and the person on the other end speaks such bad broken English that I can't understand 2 words they are saying!
that is beyond annoying! these companies need to get English speaking people to talk to their English speaking customers!

You know what's worse than that? When you're on hold for 10 minutes, THEN you get a recording saying, "Our office is currently closed. Please call back tomorrow between the hours of..." THAT is the worst.

I wanted to survey a few colleges and trust me, the colleges that I want to go to most takes OveR 10 minutes. I simply hate waiting.

I hate it, especially if its a Dr's office and you are desperate to get an appointment. The reason for this is probably b/c the company is understaffed and they are too cheap to hire addt'l support.
