I suppose that if God were to create us with the ability for sex, then he might have an opinion on how we are to use the ability.
Sex is not at all a trivial matter, it is one third of the entirety of our existance. If you look at the human body, then you can find that all our body parts can be divided into three purposes: digestion, reproduction, and the protection of those two activities.
Most of our internal organs exist for digestion, for the taking in and processing of chemical energy. The remaining organs, such as the testes, ovaries, and such, serve reproduction. The remainder of our body, such as legs for walking and the brain for thinking, seem to have no real purpose other than to make those activities easier and more efficient.
Therefor, sex is a massive part of our lives, and the pursuit of sex is a major goal in life. Think about it, we try to get a better education so we can get a better job so we can make more money so that, ultimitely, we can attract mates and provide more enticing qualities of living for ourselves and our mate. We learn new skills, such as conversation or dancing, so we can attract or protect a mate. We even exercise so we can increase our attractiveness and physical resiliency to attract a mate and to protect ourselves and our mate.
So, scientifically, sex is a massive portion of our lives no matter how it is looked at.
Now, if we examine our own feelings and can assume that when we perform an action that feels wrong, that is a mechanism that God put into us to give a basic knowledge of right and wrong, then we can create a general baseline for morality.
So, taking this approach, we can determine that God may have an opinion on whether or not we use our mouths to tell lies or whether or not we use our physical prowess to end another being's life (things that normally feel wrong independently from your philisophical or religious upbringing).
Therefor, if God has an opinion on such trivial things dealing with basic extremities of our body, then it would be reasonable to believe that he would have an opinion about such a large part of our lives as sex.
So there you have it, a completely Bible independent support for the belief that there should be some moral limits to our sexuality. Of course, there is no way to really know what these limits really are, so the only moral code that we could ever hope to follow is the one that God pre-programmed into us. Using this programming as a guide, then a person would be able do whatever sexual acts both him and his partner are comfortable with and that neither one regrets in the morning.

Yes. You have the power to ruin a marriage with sex outside of your marriage, you have the ability to introduce problems into your marriage by not abstaining until marriage (trust me, my wife and I were both not virgins when we were married and it has had a negative effect on our marriage until we were able to get past some of the problems), you have the ability to prevent procreation of humans by participating only in homosexual sex, you have the power to introduce a child to a mother who is not in a position to support a baby, (need more?).
I don't know if you're married or not, but sex is one of the main glues that holds your marriage together. So I don't see how sex is a trivial matter. Can you explain why you think that?

because what happens in your pants, in your heart, or even in your head can condemn you to hell. God hates sin. He's completely holy and pure, he can't be in the midst of sin and our sin separates us from God. Regardless of outward appearance [or action], he looks at the heart. If you even look at another woman with lust, you have committed adultry with her in your heart. By your own admission, you are an adulterer, and no adulterer will enter the kingdom of Heaven. on the day of judgment, because we'll all be there one day after death, would a perfect and righteous and holy judge count you innocent or guilty? would you go to Heaven or Hell?
that's only one of the ten commandments, and if you've committed one, you broke covenant with them all, but i'm sure if we looked at lying, stealing, taking God's name in vain [using it as a cuss word] or murder [hating someone], we'd have more to uncover.
all sins will be brought to the light and nothing is hidden from God on the day of judgment.
THAT'S why he's concerned. because a price has to be paid for your sin, blood has to be shed to redeem the covenant. whose blood pay for your sin?

perhaps...just depends on what kind of mood he is in at that certain day. He is god for crying out loud, he can do as he pleases......I think. If he is just like anyone else, I would imagine he only cares a little bit depending on how much he knows you...^-^

He loves us and wants what is best for us.
Given that sexual promiscuity will lead to harm to us, that does concern him.
Cordially,
John
