As a pianist the invitational hymn was always left for me to choose at the close - this way I could base it on the message and the power of the Holy Spirit to lead me as to what is needed at the close of that service.

Depends on what you are going for I guess. Try to get the words to match what the message was just about. For instance, If you're challenging people to follow Christ regardless of what they think is stopping them, I Have Decided to Follow Jesus is a good one. Or you can just go with one like The Old Rugged Cross or another generic one.

I was guessing you were looking just for hymns and not more contemporary songs. If you want something newer and more upbeat, those suggestions aren't worth much.

My favorite is " I surrender all", found in all baptist hymnals that I have ever sung from.

I do understand that there are many many more, usually in the hymnal it will say at the top what catagory that the hymn is usually sung within, such as repentance, faith, invitation, etc.

Most churches will let you borrow one to look it over more closely than your time in worship services will allow.

Amazing Grace

How about John Mark McMillan's "How He Loves Us So"
or "You are My All in All", or Kathryn Scott's "Hungry(Falling on My Knees)"

These are nice contemporary selections or the more traditional "Just as I am" is always effective.

I get all my downloads from Realplayer for 69 cents a track. but a lot of artists have a MySpace with selections that you can listen to all the way through.

Onward Christian Soldiers if the invitation is to kill infidels.

"Just as I am" is awesome, or "Amazing Grace" is a great standard. Little more upbeat, try "Holy, Holy, Holy"

We stand together, and we all believe in Jesus. That's what makes us strong. We all have Jesus lived inside us.
