If they are saying don't do them before going to sleep, it's not because it will mess you up, it's because some people get more energy after they work out and that will make it harder for them to sleep. If you don't have a problem with that, then you are fine.
Keep in mind, doing the same exercise every day won't work. You have to switch up occassionally or your body will get used to it and the exercise won't do anything for you because your body is used to doing it every night.
Switch it up a little like jumping jacks or push ups or something.

That is a completely personalized choice. If it helps you to sleep, then go for it... if it makes you more hyper and awake, then I would say do it before you go to sleep at night... enough that you can wind down.
I don't know that 100 situps is great for your body, and then you just crash in to bed. If you aren't feeling cramping, or pain.. if it doesn't wake you up at night, then it's probably fine. As for getting you in shape... well I wouldn't depend on just that.

No, you'll get cramps. It won't "mess you up" or anything, it will just make it hard to fall asleep and you'll feel a little soren in the morning. If you work out and keep moving then lay really still afterwards, your muscles will cramp up (that's why runners never sit down after running, they walk around a little bit first). Try and do it a couple hours before bed. Or in the morning, that's the best time to excercise. It will boost your metabolism and energy level for the rest of the day.

NO the workout should be at least 2 hours before sleep......the purpose of the workout is to increase the heart rate, etc. and also raises the body temp a bit. This inhibits the onset of sleep because the heart needs to be at a resting pace and your temperature actually drops a degree or two just prior to the onset of sleep. How do I know? I diagnose and treat sleep disorders.

People say it keeps you awake but personally, I work out so hard Im exhausted! It really depends on your own body clock. If you hadnt noticed a problem before you read the article I would say your fine. But keep in mind...alternating between working out at night and working out in the morning can be benificial. Working out in the morning before you eat breakfast kick starts your metabolism and you'll feel good all day!

No Way!!! If you workout before you sleep your body will be all hyped up and make it very hard to sleep. I love working out first thing in the morning, gets me going.

Usually when you go to bed, you don't have as much energy as you would during the middle of the day so you wouldn't get as good of a workout at night as you would during the day.

If you usually do it, and you sleep okay, then don't worry about it. There are 100 different opinions about when is the best time to exercise. Truth is, the best time is whenever you'll be sure to do it.
Always listen to your own body first. If it doesn't seem to bother you, then don't sweat it!

Its not going to mess you up, but it will raise your heart rate before you go to bed, making it take longer for you to go to sleep. This means you do not get as much sleep, which can affect you health.

Don't do it within 2 hours of bedtime. When you work out, your body releases endorphins which give you a rush of energy. Not good for sleep.
