Try buying the flavored water and see if she likes that. No juice cannot replace water as juice has a lot of natural sugars in it as water does not. If she likes juice try putting some food coloring in the water and make it look like juice or something fun to drink.

Juice can't really replace water because it has ALOT of sugar in it. As long as she is drinking something she won't get dehydrated, so don't worry. If she flat out refuses to drink water don't force her, she will eventually drink it if you keep introducing it to her though. Try giving her a sip out of a glass of water that you are drinking, most kids want what mom has anyway.

I had to trick my child by letting her see me put juice in her cup but I only put about a 1/4 of a cup of juice in and added the rest with water when she is not looking. Or you can try a colored glass that makes the water look like juice or koolaid. Or you can give her a sippy cup with ice inside with water. Jingle the sippy cup around to make noise with the ice and that might get her attention to drink it.

my son doesn't like to drink plain water from his bottle or sippy cup but he will if daddy gives it to him from a water bottle but only a little bit. What I found that works for us, especially since it is so hot here now, we add a little juice to the water, eg. 1 oz juice to 3 oz water and he will drink that from a bottle or a sippy cup. Just make sure that if you are giving juice that it is real juice and not fruit drink.
My son is 20 months old as well.

I rememeber when i was little i refused to drink out of a cup. I think it was just such a big transition from the bottle. So my mom took me out shopping and we bought this cup thing with a sipper on the end. So you can stick it in your mouth and sip the water out. I thought that was really cool so i began drinking from that. After a while the sipping cap came off and i began drinking from a regular cup. Then yeah :)

Instead of putting food coloring in it with dyes that aren't healthy go to a crystal or rock shop and get some rose quartz, quartz, and any other stones and put it in her water. She should love the pretty stones and it changes the taste of the water and makes it almost sweet. It will be good for her as well it energizes the water. Put them in a water bottle she may like the rattling.

I've been giving my 22 month old daughter Fruit2O or Propel Fitness Water. It is not full of sugar like soda, but still has some flavor to it. Also, she drinks water better if it is really cold and has ice in it.

I gave my daughter soda water and she guzzled it cuz she thought she was getting a regular soda. She liked the fizzies, and now chooses it to drink over anything else.
Try being creative, get a funky water bottle, or one of those fun straws. Water is important and kids should drink more of it.
